There must be a huge buzz around the club having both teams playing finals this weekend.

Heard rumours Hibbo looks sore and isn't training with the group.  Hoping to hear some reports on that!

Hibbo is running timed laps..

Hmmm

If he is running laps that would suggest he should be right to go on Friday, abeit not quite 100%.

3 missed kicks in a row in the point to point activity group.

Pretty windy conditions though.

Macca not impressed so far.

Nope.

The guys that are playing at Casey are down one end, Bernie and Jeffy with this group. JKH training with the main squad which is interesting and training well too!

Vandenberg just brushed Viney aside with ease..

The man cannot be stopped!

Main squad doing a full ground drill which on the point of the flank and worked up the ground to the leading forward. This consists of spreading out wide hard then hitting the lead up forward .

Its very blustery so the skills are a bit up and down which im not worried about.

Petracca is the deep lead up forward who then alternates with Weideman.

Ball movement is quick and play on at all costs.

Gussy, Jones, Viney and Lewis see looking class above.

Hibberd is partial to a bit of soreness, so it’s probably just general management. Fingers crossed. While losing him wouldn’t be ideal, half-back also happens to be where we’re best equipped to cover anyway with the likes of J.Smith and Hunt primed and ready. It wouldn’t be a game changer.

Great to hear Bernie’s firing. If he’s ready it’s hard to see him getting selected in the firsts, but Casey have a huge PF this week and having him in would help enormously.

I'm sure viney just let him pass so that they didn't create a blackhole

Great updates Dazzle. Much appreciated.

How's Max's calf travelling?

Training fully and moving fine mate

I don't think there was ever an issue with Max's calf. The strapping you can see on his calf is to hold a shin guard on for his ruck work, not for his calf. I think this is something the commentators may not have realised Friday night and is being misunderstood...........touch wood.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
