  1. Hi everyone, One of my close friends is a Carlton member (please don't judge me), and we want to sit together at the game on Friday night. We are both club members and so are both able to get tickets to sit in our respective club members area, however is it possible for us to get seats together somewhere using our memberships? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Interesting as well that Norm Smith coached Barassi, who in turn coached Blight, who then coached Goodwin. It's as if Norm Smith passed his coaching ability down the line and it has finally returned home to Melbourne.
  3. I think it's something we do pretty well. I remember noticing the same thing during the game, but it was because of channel 7's coverage rather than melbourne players not getting around him. If you check the video in the link below you can see many more melbourne players come up to him and I suspect even more came up to him after. https://www.afl.com.au/news/467973/key-dee-available-but-no-guarantees-t-mac-get-straight-back
  4. In the interview with Cal Twomey he said because of where we looked like finishing he sat on some junior players quite closely towards the end of the year. Can you ask if Jackson and Pickett were two of those players?
  5. Surely Petracca trains with the midfield group all preseason
  6. Very sad to see him leave from a sentimental standpoint, but getting May is huge and I think gets us closer to a premiership in the next few years. Can't blame Jesse for wanting to move home after what he's been through and hope he doesn't get booed for it. Who knows after his 3 year contract he might decide he wants some success and try to come back as a free agent? https://www.sen.com.au/news/2018/10/17/the-message-hogan-delivered-to-goodwin-before-trade/
  7. I'm sure viney just let him pass so that they didn't create a blackhole
  8. Who was Fritsch training with the backs, mids or forwards? If he wasn't training with the backs, it probably means hunt or smith will come in.
  9. Hearing the richmond supporters scream "yellow and black" at the Anzac Eve match every year even makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. We have our own war cry that over the last decade of mediocrity has fizzled into non-existence. I think this Friday would be the perfect chance to bring it back and would give the players goosebumps hearing 50,000 melbourne supporters scream "what do we sing" as they ran out onto the field for their first final in 12 years. As a collective, does this forum have what it takes to bring back our old war cry? Are there members of the demon army or perhaps the debrief who could help spread the word to make this a reality on Friday night?
  10. Any idea who the 25 that will be picked are after today's training saty?
  11. It's for the best and fairest. If you lose a Brownlow for getting reported, no way known you should be able to keep it after being suspended for using performance enhancing drugs.
  12. To those wondering who the whisperer is, it's Tony Sheahan. Accidentally replied to a message to the whisperer from his own account
  13. I've got it from a very good source that 90% he willl be a demon. I'm good friends with braysure, whose cousin cuts GNF's hair and heard it from him
  14. I believe that's the author of the article saying that, not Nathan Jones. If you look at the article there are no quotes around it
  15. No problem with losing a player 'sore' for 2 weeks (though I'd still rather not). The big problem is losing our CHB for the year when he needs a shoulder reco.
  16. I remember being at that game, his third quarter was exceptional (capped off with tat mark and goal) and he was one of the main reasons we were able to break even in that quarter
  17. The original quote was "Scoop revealed on Sports Today the Suns had almost accepted the fact O'Meara would be returning to Melbourne " as I posted above, but they must have changed it since
  18. Yeah I have heard all this, I just find it hard to take an article seriously that gets simple facts wrong
  19. Don't see how someone can return to somewhere they're not from
  20. I agree with everything except this last sentence, I can't wait to be put out of my misery! On Francis when I first found out we were trying to trade up for pick 3, I was convinced he was the reason why- just because his competitiveness and size exactly fits our drafting profile under Roos.
  21. I see it the other way around. I'd much rather get Weideman than Curnow or McKay, but I would be more than happy with one of Parish, Oliver and Francis.
  22. Dissapointing for you, probably not murphy considering the career he would have had if he came here
  23. After watching the first half of the u18's academy vs Werribee, I would be more than comfortable taking this bloke with pick 3. Two things stood out to me, while he may not have the best 20m sprint time, he does have extremely good acceleration. Twice he received the ball flat footed with a Werribee player bearing down on him, I was certain he was going to be tackled to the ground, both times however he was able to turn, take a few extremely quick steps and buy himself enough time to find a target. Extremely impressive. This brings me to the next thing I noticed about him, his speed of decision making in tight and vision are exceptional. Nearly every time he won the ball in tight, he was able to flick out a fast handball to a team mate in a better position. I still worry about his size when coming to play afl, but if he can bulk up enough to play in the middle I think he will become a very good afl player. If he is always too small to play in the middle, I think at the very worst he will become a very capable outside midfielder, who is also capable of winning his own ball.
  24. Interesting stuff. Makes you realise the drafts not as locked in as we all seem to think at this stage. I can see the appeal of Collins, we played Frost forward quite a bit at the start of the year and I see him becoming a tall utility more than a key defender. As for Oscar McDonald, we are absolutely no guarantee he will make it which leaves us with only Tom as our only established key back when Dunn retires.
