Has Simon Goodwin and Winx’s trainer Chris Waller ever been seen in the same room? ?

FFS I absolutely hate these posts suggesting that no O'Meara means that we will be in for an easy time: they will replace him with someone else, and we must just focus on beating all who they put up against us.

This is really dangerous and I hope that none of our playing group think this way

After the C'wood game at the end of 2017, they'll have learnt nothing if they do.  I expect they learnt the lesson in the most painful way.

It’s all system for Hawks. If we let them get the ball to Bruest and Gunston they will carve us up. Need a big first qtr of pressure, tackling and clean movement. Unlike the Cats, Hawks will punish us the other way.

A year later, the Demons knocked the Hawks out of the finals race thanks to a miraculous late goal from “Hassa” Mann in the penultimate round before going on to win their twelfth and last premiership.? ?

Im taking this as an omen ???

Congrats!

Hopefully your kids grow up where they can be proud of their footy team and wear their colours everyday to school.

I actually think Stratton is a bigger loss for them. He controls their backline.

But no Jaeger is a big plus for us.

The boys need to know that wounded animals fight back hard and remember the weak Pies side that kept us out of the finals last year. They still need to bring their best game to win this.

Nicholls more than makes up for the outs. Worth around 20 possessions and 3 goals.

To say nothing of momentum killing.

Handpass in the backline!!  OMG.   Surprised that Norm didn't drop Barassi for the next game. :-)   (Like he was said to have been "furious" at Froggy for venturing too far out of position to kick that winning goal a few weeks later)  :-)

Clarko will almost concede the clearances and try to set up their scoring from the back half.  The game will be played in our half.

Composure and lowering the eyes is going to be key.

We need to be focused, tough and humble again this week. We win and we are closer to the grail.

God, i can relate to those conditions and that style, and the smell, No style, look for a clean place to get max distance, and the train and the wall.......

I was there for that game as a youngster.. cannot remember it being a wet day which kind of underscores what a permanent quagmire made up the centre square or as it was called... the cricket pitch area.

Geez. 5 weeks ago we were the team that hadnt beaten anyone according to the 4th estate. Now they are all over us.

Glenferrie Oval ... a muddy, sardine tin shaped ground where Jack Dyer (I think) once claimed the longest kick in history when one of his punts landed on a passing train and ended up in Lilydale.

I’m nervous. Everything points to us winning, so MFCSS says we will lose.

I went to my first ever game att Glenferrie Oval. It was a mud heap. The ground was full and everyone was squashed in. I had to stand on top of the wall surrounding the ground clinging to barbed wire to watch the game.

We are talking about a new era that we are Building a super team with a young midfield full of super talents led by Viney , Oliver, Brayshaw, Harmes , Petracca , Co skipper Jones is there to pick up the scrapes nurturing the young mids while Max dictates the game.

Yes we are in a good place and we don't fear the Hawks ,  they fear  us  just ask the majority of  their supporters.

We back our team because we believe.

As per last week I'm just happy and relaxed with the fact that we are playing finals, a win is a bonus.

True.

I was desperate to win last week because well first final but also Geelong are my second most hated team.

I’m relaxed regardless of tomorrow’s outcome, so long as we don’t repeat round 4’s efforts.

MFCSS kicking in, way too much positivity here, more nervous then last week now everyone thinks we will win!
