Long shot guys.

I have a vintage Dees scarf that was left at Richmond station on Friday night. Passenger was likely on a midnight Glen Waverley train.

It has a dees patch, original Gary Lyon badge and a 10 year member pin.

Its a beauty and I’m sure there’s someone out there that is rueing it’s loss!

let me know if any one knows who’s it is!

Go dees!

Well done for trying to find the owner....

I had the same thing happen to me on Friday night... I found a tissue laying on the ground just outside the Cricketer's Arms just before midnight and went on the hunt to find it's owner... Fair to say a Geelong supporter walking past claimed it within 5 minutes :D

Nice work mate. Contact the club and put photos of it on Facebook, Twitter etc..

it will be reunited

I have a 31 year old long scarf that i bought at the MCG at the beginning of ‘87, i would be quite upset if i ever lost it

if anyone found a bamboo cheese platter and jewelled hip flask on the train, please get in touch with uncle bitters

I throw my scarf to the Salvo's every year in an attempt to raise the appearance of increasing Demons supporters in Perth.

No evidence that it's working.

I do a similar thing to help promote the club to potential new supporters.

Myself I get the little sticker for car number plates we receive in our membership package and stick them on random peoples cars.

I've done this to a few of my work mates, see how long it takes them to realise. ?

Print up sheets of them ;)

Good stuff mate! With a bit of luck the owner will look here or check with the club.

Gary Lyon badge and a 10 year member pin? It could have been ditched as part of a ceremonial cleansing.

I think Neeld should have held on until he earned the 10 year badge.  Going early was a sign of things to come.  Understand the Gazza pin, but why leave the vintage scarf on the platform?  Has his train (integrity or whatever) left on the midnight train?

Somewhere along the Glen Wavery line.

Assuming they are still a member, it wouldn't be hard for the club to filter their membership database to match those possibilities and send out an email. It'd be fun! They could offer a reward for clues, throw in a whole ceremony of returning it to the owner, hell Garry Lyon could turn up.

Keep an eye out for Selwood's mojo.

Yep, there’s enough information there to narrow it down to a small few. Great work!

Not that easy.
I'm a 15yr member who lives on the Murray River and was on that train line Friday night.

[insert joke along the lines of 'just how drunk were you?']

But quite true, that filtering would just be to get the best tree to shake. Or the best place to try to roll a snowball. Or the best thing thing to metaphor at.

Maybe the best thing to do is just send it to Garry Lyon and give him the mission of returning the scarf to his personal fan. He's got media to work with.

Also a privacy element. Not sure the club can filter through member locations to narrow down the person who lost a scarf....

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
