3rd Q we are kicking to the goal scoring end and our 3rd Q's have been good

2.4 to 0.6 that quarter. Bloody wasteful. If we lose tonight, it won't be because we weren't the better team on the night.

This is our quarter, take the game by the neck and strangle the c**t.

2.2.14 to 0.6.6 that quarter; they only out scored us by 8 points...

Which will hurt all the more.

Ok, positive post now.... we are still smashing them and kept them to 16 points in the half. Their middle tier players next to useless...

Gawn not dominating, can and has to lift in the second half....

Shocking miss by Neale Bullen started the rot in my opinion.

That was a shocker. Kick that and I reckon we kick the next 2 purely from momentum.

C'mon Dees!!!!

he most definitely is.

Just wasteful. Gus and Tyson need to lift.

Keep the pedal down Dees.

They're garbage. Hit the chris sullivan line this quarter and get it done.

Goodwin will settle them and straighten them up.  Its just been a fumble inside 50 that has stopped us having set shots.  As long as we keep the pressure up we will win as they will break.

Unfortunately happens too much against Geelong

I think that's what frustrating. Outplaying them but not converting. Been a consistent story this season. Hopefully it isn't our undoing tonight.

We are killing them but if we don't start scoring then, mark my words, this will come down to the wire.

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
