Spoke to Max’s family member this morning. She said he was unusually quiet but very much in the zone and very focused. Hope his team mates are there with him.

Go Dees ❤️?

Fuggit.

Just cracked a tin to calm the nerves.

Wow.

Can see at least 20 plus dees supporters at station.

We are out in full force tonight!!

I’m on a train full of Dees supporters. Everyone is upbeat and chatty. It’s a nice change.

I don't know what to say.

I don't know what to do.

I have no insights, no analysis, no words of wit.

Nothing.

Not nervous, but full of anxious energy. A shower then off to the G.

Will get nervous if the game continues to be close the longer it gets. But [censored] it, optimism here, looking forward to attending my first Dees final in 12 years.

Will be there in full voice tonight. Hope for an overwhelming Dees crowd, and an argument or 2 with [censored] supporters!

A benefit of being on the Sandringham line. Im carrying a spare scarf for a Carlton supporter that sill be watching the game with me and another mate. A condition of supplying extra ticket was that they wear a Melbourne scarf and face paint.

Lots of anxious energy, need a drink.

Beer is the solution, stretch.

Anyone outside the G, how busy are we looking?

Wondering if there's time for a few quick pints ?

Morrison, Findlay and Chamberlain the umpires tonight.

Gus's mate is a plus, ?, but more importantly no bald pr!ck tonight

Sounds like Gil's speciality...

Melbourne supporters outnumbering Geelong in the CBD by 20-1. I've seen more Storm supporters than Geelong.

My life in a nutshell.

Just got into the members now. Massive turnout which isnt a surprise.  Jones, brayshaw and salem came out for a walk and everyone turned around and cheered.

Ive no idea what the outcome will really be but I SUSPECT we'll win and it'll be well deserved.

I think we'll have a real crack at this  as youd think...but some teams get the yips and do rabbit impressions.

Absolutely game on tonight. The boys are hungry...but they have some calmer heads directing the team energy.

Quite , and quietly, confident we'll avenge our own Demons.

A Friday night in Alice, always a lot of shouting from the drunks in Todd river, well tonight I reckon I am going to put them to shame, I pity anyone wanting to go to sleep living within a 100m radius

Just warned the neighbours!

Apparently even if we lose tonight, we are still in with a shot. At least according to Slobbo we are.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
