It's like the penny has dropped with him. His positioning and decision making since his return has improved out of sight. I can't recall him getting caught in no man's land in recent times which was my biggest criticism of him.

In full flight he does remind me of a couple of old blasts from the past. Gary "Crazy Horse" Cowton and our own Russell "Rhino" Richards. One was a bloody good player. The other could have been

Frosty has done an amazing job down back. Well done Frosty?

Used to love Slamming Sammy Kekovich in the 70’s now I have another Slamming Sam.

Did a great job today but has to be supported in the finals so he can play to his strengths.

How good has he been since hes come back to the side!? I've always rated him and was shocked how he wasn't in the team earlier on the year.

Fast, powerful, courage, 2nd efforts are just some of the traits thats really stood out this year!

On ya Frosty!

With ya. I was so relieved when he got back into the first team. He really counterbalances Oscar's lethargy.

Let's be honest, he was thrown under the bus by a lot of supporters; i've got the sneaking suspicion that supporters claiming now is he's a much improved player, are doing so to validate their harsh criticisms. He has improved yes, but so have heaps of our players.

Do I [censored] my pants every time he has the footy? Yes. Is he doing an amazing job shutting down some seriously good forwards? Hell yes. Am I excited to see him run rings around big butt Hawkins? Ohhhh yeah!!!

anyone else think he is like a labrador at the beach who has just got his lead taken off. he could run for days! (he does not know where to run and you can't stop him but who cares!)

Up the snowman!

Roos couldn’t believe that he was playing for Casey, as did a few backers here.

Lever’s injury forced our hand; and Frost is sticking it up a majority of supporters and a doubting coaching group.

Because right now is the best time for point scoring.

It might be the one plus about Lever going down. It’s hard to tell if Frost would have gotten the chance but he took it on with both hands and has clearly improved. Much more than the giraffe that escaped from the zoo.

The man is a specimen....would have to be just about the most powerful raw athlete in the AFL and now he's starting to learn to play serious footy too

Oh boy what do we do with him now?!

Lever and OMac can't be moved... And he has earned his spot in the 22 for next year.

Make no mistake, we would be 2nd on the ladder if Sam Frost had been picked when he should have.

Understatement of the year, amazing how you get shot down for calling for Frosty before Lever goes down.

Now all the Pole smokers have come out of the woods, stroking the Frostmiesters bits.

I've been going oh god oh (something) for 98% of his career. Something about how he'll gather and automatically run off his man at every opportunity. TMac actually did this a lot too when he played as a defender...

So I guess what I'm saying is... Frost to kick 50 goals a year in a few seasons?

I’m going to persist in reminding all the Frost knockers how bloody stupid they were and how little they really understand the development of a tall afl player because they were relentless in their bagging of him.

There are also some fools who have been relentless in their posting that Jordan Lewis should never play again.  Boy has Jordan made them look stupid!

They must all be embarrassed by their poor judgement.

Huge love for Frost, and works well in combination with Hibberd, he also has some go in him, puts a hurt on the opposition with his body contact. His speed totally destroys the forward 50 pressure of the opposition, we don't leak runs of goals with him in the team. With Lever back next year (who can rotate with Lewis off the bench we will be Lions '01-'03 like with our rebound.

Our backline next year will be OMac, Lever, Hibberd, Frost, Lewis, Jetta and Salem, Wagner floating back, we’re gonna be a gun side for 3-4 years

And that is, by far and away, our weakest third on the ground. ?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
