Pretty certain it will. I only want standing room (as do 10 of my mates). Stupid you can't buy those.

your best best is to buy GA tickets that go on sale at 2pm.

I haven't been able to read through all posts here, so apologies if I am repeating what has already been asked.

I got through at 9am, selected my seat, entered and then submitted my payment details.

The page didn't go to the confirmation screen, and instead timed out/errored.

After a refresh I went back to the "hold tight, you're in the queue" message and I've been on that ever since.

I haven't received an email to confirm my purchase, however I can see that my credit card has been charged.

So am I good?

And is the above similar to what others here have been experiencing?

Tough one. Suggest vendor received the payment but the tickets may not have been allocated to the purchase. Would recommend doing it again and then requesting a refund.

The AFL are predicting 70-75K.

This has to be the most stressful MFC related thing I have been apart of in the last 12 years.

Ok thanks guys. I'm in the permanent "hold tight you're in the queue" loop, so I guess I'll have to wait for that to sort itself out before checking my ticketek account, then going from there.

It actually makes 2012 seem easy.

This is what is happening:

1. People add tickets to cart

2. try to process payment

3. times out.

4. tickets stay in cart in back end system, but the customer's cart refreshes.

5. caching will refresh every 20 minutes and the tickets become available again.

99% most of you will get tickets eventually.

got through and all sections sold out. Trying again. Pathetic

not sold out. see above. i have a background in dealing with these vendors and their systems. if the system is overloaded, the cache will pile up and so tickets part of timed out transactions will just sit there unclaimed until they return to available

Anyone who was successful via online, do the actual tickets (PDF) distinguish between Member & Member Guest?

This is exactly what happened to me!!

I got a message asking me to check my Order History, and the tickets I had selected (and tried to pay for) were there! All I had to do was download the tickets. I've checked ANZ online, and the amount was taken out even though I didn't get a confirmation email. But now I've downloaded the tickets, so it's worked!

Hopefully you get the same outcome! Check your Order History :-)

Ticketek has crashed. When they sort the problem members will get to try again and they will delay public tickets until members get a fair go. Was on radio

I only purchased the ONE ticket for myself (in hindsight I should've bought more to save you guys the hassle) but all it says is "Public Reserve Adult"

No mention of Member or Non-Member

member presale is suspended until they can get ther S&*t together

still MFC members tickets left when they go onsale again , what a shambles

According to SEN:

Ticketek is apparently resetting servers, tickets sales suspended until further notice.

Tickets have NOT sold out.

Rational explanation and calm reasoning such as this is simply unacceptable at Finals time!

My son got 4 good tickets at 9.15. I  wonder if there is an advantage in going straight in to premierticketek.com.au and not going via the club or afl site?? Not sure what made it so straight forward for him

Ok, I am slightly enthused by that, thanks.

Now just need to get on to the website.  I'd been stuck on the auto-refreshing "you're in the queue" page for the last two hours

what's the bet that those who have been able to purchase tickets will get [censored] over by the ticketek system refresh???

If they are resetting their servers how come I can log in easily now but still get the "no tickets" message.  What a bunch of clowns

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
