question:

As an AFL Member with club support, does that mean I am part of the "competing club" category on the tuesday, or afl members?

AFL members

You should also have a MFC membership barcode as technically you are a general admission member of MFC in addition to being an AFL members - but that will cost you $80+ a ticket (although sitting in an MFC bay), buying in the AFL members area costs you $21 (although sitting with opposition/neutrals).

I've called the membership team and confirmed this point. The two tickets are in whatever category you choose, no restrictions whatsover. I was also told that tickets are allocated to Melbourne 'areas', so presumably near the cheer squad etc.

Amazing, thanks for getting that clarification.

I'll be relieved once I have secured those tickets tomorrow.

No worries at all ?

Haha same! I've already mentally banked the seat, and the win... So now I just need the actual seat and the win. Don't know I'll be able to work until they're locked in!

I've spent my entire adult life working online. social media, web development, sales, you name it.

I am absolutely CLUELESS when it comes to finals tickets. I have this weird concern I'm going to miss out.

This must be what my parents feel like when their "wifi" stops working.

I've watched a few finals before on Level 4 I'd be fine with it. My mate not so keen. Hopefully it won't be too hard to get something in the $55 to $75 mark.

I’ve got 2 barcodes and 3 of is I need to buy tickets for so we sit together? How would I do that? 1 barcode for 2 seats and then pray for the 3rd seat to be still free with the second bar code?

I'm hoping we can put multiple codes in one purchase...

You should be able to put in multiple barcodes. I'm fairly sure I've done that before for H&A matches, buying tickets for guests.

So if I use the email I won’t need to take my membership card to work with me?

Yep, you shouldn't need your card. The code has been given to you on the basis that you're a member. Maybe just take a note of your member number? Or take a photo of the card? Alternatively, the card is pretty small, so to can throw it in your wallet haha ?

These are good problems to have! ?

The club really should've sent out a pamphlet to all members weeks ago, explaining how to purchase finals tickets...

You can put multiple codes in but just make sure they are one under the other

I don't do much online stuff so  I've organised Moonshadow to get my ticket.

He's charged me $400.00 for a level 2 seat . Is that right?

That's a steal! You should buy 2 to maximise the value ?

Accidental post. Mods delete.

That's the booking fee, Uncle. The ticket is $2500. Cash.

My grandson has a membership via Auskick. He can't go, so my daughter has sent me his barcode number. Am I able to use that to buy two adult tickets, or will Ticketek recognise the barcode as a junior member and not allow me to buy two adult tickets? Can anyone advise?

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
