Gawn walking laps in tracksuit, HS telling us not to panic...

The Goschs paddock surface has to come under scrutiny.

Why?

Because he may have done a calf injury at the G during a game? Because Lever did a knee during a game? Or is it because Viney is like a bull at a gate and struggles to pull back his load when injured?

The club did an assessment of Gosches and training loads not so long ago, probably to appease MFCSS supporters

I have heard from my very reliable source close to Max that he pulled up with a very sore calf after Sunday.

i was told this earlier in the week but was hopeful with the game not until Sunday that it wasn’t as bad as it sounded.

Yeah there was footage of his right calf getting some attention on the bench on Sunday. He's tough. He's fit. If it was really crook he wouldn't be jogging.

A whopping 7 dream team points for Casey. I’m very reassured.

Gawn arrived late to the session at Gosch's Paddock on Thursday morning with Sam Weideman and Mitch King handling the ruck drills in his absence.

It is believed Gawn may be suffering from a calf issue.

Jake Melksham did running drills away from the main group as he tries to prove his fitness following a hamstring strain.

Melksham missed the Demons' 96-point win over Gold Coast with the minor injury.

Michael Hibberd is still at least one week away from returning from a quad strain but was back running on Thursday.

Coach Simon Goodwin is scheduled to speak to the media at 12.40pm AEST.

Swans with Sinclair, Eagles with Lycett and GWS with Lobbe......yawn.   Give him a rest for a week or two and get on with it.

Pederson in if injured. I wouldn't play him if he is slightly injured at this stage. I hope he is alright but if not then lets see what the rest of the troops can pull together on Sunday. We can still win.

So the AFL website repeats the HS news was and then the club says he's fine.  We'll see on Sunday.

Won't degrudge Max having a light week after having to carry to ruck single handed. Although TMac was giving more of a Chop out against GC.

Goodwin doesn't talk BS when it comes to the list and their health.

He's playing on Sunday. Nothing to see here.

Sorry guys Jane02 is right on the money as is Jan Phelan, definitely not a light load week.

.... Gawn walking laps is still more training than Buddy has managed this year apparently!

???

Read Jane02's comment on page 1 her source is impeccable, Max injured his calf last Sunday. Someone also posted,  Jan Phelan at AFL  tweeted mentioning a sore calf so her source is pretty good too. Cannot say more

Yup.   Every time Goody has said that, the player has played and been fine.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
