Beats the footy show by a country mile!

Sam Pang is one of my favorite comedians going around.

 Yeah definitely better than TFS

Pang good, Molloy solid as he has been for 30 years, Maher... ? just giggles incessantly at the other two

Might wanna check that with OD!  Probably went close.

Not looking to open old wounds but Brian and Alan Johnson were the only 2 players I recall who fought openly for the club in the no-merger camp.  Last time I saw them both was the small rally they attended in the city.

Great show the front bar, has me in stitches most weeks. especially when they take the mickey out of channel 7's coverage and roaming brian.

Should be great tonight!

L Mooney “no one has ever told me if this show has a sponsor...”

Its a good view most weeks.

Another nail in the Footy Show Coffin.

It should have died 20 years ago

Why would Jaka want to go on there? Sam Newman spent most of his time bullying and being condescending towards him when he was on there 20 of years ago.

Sam Newman is a very strange being

Andy Maher proving what a wanchor he is by cutting off Jako mid-sentence at every opportunity.

He is seriously the shittest “personality” on TV and radio.

Absolutely disagree......he is the perfect”stooge” to Sam & mick......the chemistry between the three is what makes the show so successful!!

Great viewing!

Great to see Jacko is still a Melbourne supporter with Oliver his favourite player and urging Hogan to be more selfish.

Just watched Jako, what a legend.

Ive lost none of my man love for him.

Yes Jakovich owned the 50 metre arc

Stay away from me....

What a truly fantastic character. I even rang up SEN yesterday when they had a segment about which past or present player kept you on the edge of your seat. There was only one answer.

Allen Jakovich!

Could kick a goal from anywhere, amazing.

I can’t remember the last time I watched one of these shows and genuinely enjoyed it. I don’t watch these shows often though

Makes you wonder now if the footy club will get him actively on the social side of things like past players functions?

That was fantastic. Love the last story of his view of Glen and he fighting and his mother arbitrating

My favourite was when he sprayed the Gatorade over the Collingwood supporters at Victoria Park while going up the race at half time. He needed an escort to get back to his car!

Yes. Anytime he can have a dig at Collingwood supporters it makes the story more enjoyable

That game he kicked 11 vs North is one of the alltime great performances, best ive seen.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
