I've had a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach all week about today's match. Something about our attitude before that Saints game, and playing this on the G where we've been less than impressive all year. It's like teams have found out how to exploit our game plan there.

Hopefully I'm wrong, because if we blow today then our finals chances are as good as cooked IMO. Too many other teams on the fringes with far easier runs home, like Hawthorn and North.

And almost every time this year that other teams have blown key matches and opened up a golden opportunity for us to move ahead, we've consistently blown it. And lo and behold, this week it's Geelong and Hawthorn opening the door. The Dees rarely miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity and, once again, the stage is set.

So, please, please prove me wrong Demons.

Argh I should be there. Bloody sister in law having her dinner for her birthday tonight. Petracca has to take his game up to another level now and get into the midfield. Dam I hope Jack's toe isnt to bad.

Christian Petracca, Bernie Vince, Jay Kennedy Harris, Alex Neal-Bullen on the bench.

Come on melbourne. Win and win well.

Not working out too well for Hawthorn at the moment.

Exactly why we need to take our chances when they present themselves, especially on the oft-chance other teams drop big games.

Otherwise this season is going to be a repeat of 2017.

missing Viney for games against Adelaide and Geelong is really tough. Makes winning today even more important. Im no doctor to know how long a "stress" takes to heal. But, presuming he got to it early,  does anyone know anything about this kind of  thing? As much as I hate to say it it may even be best to just rest him til 2019. His not a player we can lose long term through mismanagement. As I said Im no doctor but Im also curious about just how much heart ache can we actually bear until we explode or catch fire?

Sitting in Los Angeles, Watch Afl App isn’t working. Driving me crazy trying to see the game.

Obviously not addicted to watching the game though.   Good luck everyone!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
