Trac has had a great 10 minutes. Best for the year.

He is looking desperate. When Petracca plays with intent he is noticeable. Absolute bull when he is on.

Can the 27 Melbourne supporters there please cheer louder when we score as it sounds like the place is full of Docker supporters.

Centre clearances 7-2. No Sandy or Fyfe but that’s a great result.

Max Gawn is kicking from the impossible angle right now.

3-1 he misses

F k I wasn’t being serious.

If you were an opposition team and we ever made finals and had to kick a goal deep into time on in the last you would leave Gawn totally free. He would chit the bed.

Trac doing team things tonight, but we are going to set the record for points, I'm tipping 15.30

Maxy really is mentally weak in front of goal, I'd actually take Bugg before him in a kick for my life.

He should just handball immediately now, it's just not worth the risk.

This should be over.  The poor kicking is just turning this into a rubbish spectacle.

Just spotted an Essendon supporter. Have seen a few Sydney supporters.

Not sure why Frost hasn't been in the team.

I've been calling for him for about 3 months.

Hogan bereft of confidence. What is wrong with him these days?

Spargo needs to do more.

shown more than hannan this year.

Some of the players are already stuffed.

yep..present temp 27 with relative humidity of 71 ... Great idea to play in Darwin

And there's the obligatory goal concession inside the last minute. Every week we see the same crap. I've seen that Max Gawn kick at goal 4 times this year now. I was over it 15 rounds ago.

Ffs... Even if we scrape through this week, Doggies will belt us by 60+ next week.

We are [censored] unbelievable. They never get the ball down to their 50, but when they do, it’s a goal. Every. Single. Time.

Us on the other hand, we can’t buy a goal.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
