Exactly what we needed. Like the boy.

So we moved Jones off Zacherakis and moved Oliver on him

Is that what changed?

Hand gun Hannan, Spargs, Tommy Mac, Fristchy, O Mac, Gawny, Jonesy boy, Milkshake, Hibbo [censored] brilliant.

Loved Max’s response to that feral fan. Just kicked a goal and shoved it right back in his face. Bogans

Great effort.  Don't have him at 100% however.

Top 5 DE%

1.  Jetta* 14 effective disposals @ 93.3%

2. Vince* 12 @ 92.3%

3. Spargo 16 (at 3 quarter time) @ 88.9%

4.  O-Mac* 8 @ 88.9%

5.  Fritsch 9 @ 81.8%

*Keeping in mind defenders get a few cheapies around the back...

The only thing better than beating Essendon is thumping them. Melksham has been good today.

lol Tyson.

Useless as a goal kicker!!

Daniher marked the ball and played on while out of bounds. Why wasn't that a throw in?

Why would you pass it to Tyson

Crazy stuff

Then Essendon go up the other end kick a goal.

I don’t care that we are so far ahead, these kind of mistakes are inexcusable.

You don't drop player to the VFL to get confidence you just play them against the Bombers.

Harmes has been good today.

COME AT ME.

Leaking goals as usual

Geessussss!!

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
