At the time, the Hawks were playing like pox and we were trying to push for a place in the finals.

Predictably, we lost ...

All I remember from this game was number 23, O'Brian I think it is, had no opponent all game as we had no height in the side. Hawthorn kept kicking it to him from behinds and he marked everything that came his way. It was really frustrating. Hopefully with the side we got now we can smash yet another side that has owned us in recent years. I suspect it 2 I'll be a tight game.

Another game where we found ourselves down by 4-5 goals at quarter time.

Hunt’s move to the forward line sparked a comeback with a couple of goals in the second quarter but it ended with the usual heartbreak.

Clarry head-to-head with Mitchell. Should be worth the price alone.

And Roughead got the first 3 goals by pushing our defenders straight in the back without penalty and then the maggots gave them free kick goals for the slightest touch.

They also had Burgoyne and we didn't have Max.

But we did have Viney, Red, and Jack Watts. (stirring.....)

Agree, he was plucking marks all over the ground !! [censored] me off immensely. The outside run worries me and sirol usually like to poll his one 3 vote game a year against us. But I still hope we have one of those days where it all clicks and bounces out way and spank these assholes ! Supporters were already talking premierships after round 2 !

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
