Paul Connors was positioning his client the best way he could after MFC publicly trashed Watt’s reputation during trade period.

While I think the club should have gritted their teeth and let Jack's 'publicity tour' lose oxygen, don't think for a moment Jack didn't play the game during that period.

The mysterious 'appearance' at the airport (don't tell me that his management wasn't on the phone to journos), the press conference at the races (because the club wasn't going to give him a platform to air his grievances), his whinge on Instagram about the club 'not wanting good kicks' and his Dad coming out in the Age to complain about Jack being 'publicly stoned' (Jack and his manager would have been sure to have green lighted that) shows he and his management were launching a PR campaign to keep him at the club.

The club went overboard in its response to him and used nukes when a few precise missile strikes could have sufficed. But Jack was no innocent in that situation.

He was a bad influence on younger players.

waited til his teammates were doing rehab, would go through their wallets

tried to crack onto his teammates girlfriends, told them the teammate said it was okay

told people he had cancer so they'd buy his anti cancer recipes cookbook

ran a horse race betting syndicate which was actually a ponzi scheme

stole millions in crypto currency after he hacked a japanese exchange

fought for ISIS

developed a new nerve agent poison for Putin

he had to go

2008 was a pretty ordinary draft. I wish we decided to pass that year.

Not all from 2008 but I still laugh (well maybe laugh isn't the right word) that Port have our 1, 2 and 4 pick....

Are you kidding me? There's going to be a "The Jack Watts in 2018 Thread" at the top of the forum all year? How about deleting this thread Mods and telling everyone who wants to have an ongoing week to week commentary to go over to wattsland.com/forums?

All J**k W**tts talk should go in the no TS no BS thread.

What a lot of whinging about nothing.  If it's in one thread it's simple - just don't read it.

Any update on Jack this week? What has he been eating for breakfast? Where has he been spotted out and about? Any photo's? Did he train the house down? Hello to anyone who's coming into the thread because Port Adelaide player Jack Watts has had his thread bumped again.

The thread was just about dead, no posts since Sunday. Good bump.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
