GAME DAY: JLT #2 vs St Kilda

worrying stat from AFL website:

"After an efficient first half inside 50, the Demons are struggling in this third quarter. Melbourne lead the inside 50 count 10-5 this quarter, but have recorded just one shot on goal, from a free-kick. "

Game plan?

Just nobody get injured. Players have shown enough.

They haven’t shown enough as they still need to learn how to turn these quarter slumps around, inconsistencies will kill us again

Must be on my own here but while we started brilliantly but have been very average and thinking we’re pretty good from around 10mins into the 2nd.

Flash little celebration drills, trying to hit silly passes, getting out worked as soon as the ball is turned over.

Well game is even. That’s a pretty disappointing turn off. We have to get rid of this type of “off” quarters from our game. It absolutely killed our season last year.

Our kicking into the forward line is wayward.

Now listening to SEN. These guys are clowns. You get no indication of who is involved in the play until it is in either forward line. ABC radio listener and shall remain so. Little burst of commentary now as the Saints score. Poor.

this is the worst we’ve played all year

It didn't take long

I've not watching (dont have Foxtel). Is there a radio commentary? Every time I get a live score Saints have got another goal.  FFS!!!

will not make the 8 shocking attitude by some big headed young blokes

No Lever, No Melbourne

He is out there.

Getting smashed through the middle.  Saints have fixed things up and they are sling shotting the ball forward.  It almost looks as though we are tired.  Mids are nowhere to be seen.

I just want them to run the season out....this game means nothing.

He is! Yikes

Where are these so-called ‘leaders’?

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
