If we are only 7points down it will be a win.

you are right of course but hell it would have been so much more pleasant to start the last quarter a few goals up.

Oh the life of a Melbourne supporter

That's the one part of his game Harmes needs to improve in. Goals on the run.

I think on balance being just 1 goal down with this breeze is a plus for us, but hardly anyone is giving us much today. Absolutely have to find a way to win today.

A goal down for that effort...

Lucky to say the least.

We are in this.

It was always going to be a close one like last year. We are coming home with the wind and unlike last time are 6 points down instead of 6 goals.

If we lose today our tackling pressure will come under intense scrutiny. I've never seen so many broken tackles. It takes 3-4 tackles to stick one bloke

Not a bad position to be in when one looks at the breeze.

That being said, it's just not going to happen. We need to get this done.

Any chance we can ever win easy, if they beat us from here it Will be because they want it more

Need Viney to really set the tone this last quarter and lead from the front.

My god you people are hysterically over the top... We are kicking against a hurricane and after it looked like North were going to get a hold of us we shut the game down and go in a goal down with a huge wind at our backs having said that I've seen numerous games where the wind doesnt get sides home so we'll have to play this quarter smart, if we lose than the criticism seen on here so far will be warranted

Alright I'm joining the coverage late here so please a wrap of the good the bad and the ugly would be fantastic. Obviously the fact we are down at 3 quarter time is not going to script.

13,13 kicked with the wind, 4.3 into it.

Jesse update?

Broken collarbone. He's done (most likely for the year).

I reckon that's a specific tactic North have come into this game with. They're trying extra hard to break our tackles and succeeding.

If we can up the ante with tackles we should be good for some HTB turnovers.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
