I don't know how Sarah Jones gets a gig on Fox Footy.  Is as wooden as a splinter, and picks the wrong adjective and too often is quite repetitive.  Like Sandy, just cringeworthy.  Who does she know

Daisy Pearce is A1, and better than most blokes actually.  Mel McLaughlin is a bit blokey, but could pull anything off.

Kelly Underwood is just OK.

Sam Lane - predictable, but not as much as Lingy.

Daisy and Mel for me; and maybe Tiffany Cherry.

(Apologies if any of the above is viewed as sexist)

If Demonland can be likened to a pub, and I believe it can, you are the old codger in the corner of the bar more interested in hearing his own voice than the footy.

But I will stop for a chat on the way to the pisser...

Not sexist and fair chat if you have a similar thread for ex-footy players who struggle to put words in front of other words to make coherent sentences. Or talk about the fact the biggest footy journo in the country (Head footy writer for the Hun) would be more at home in the latest planet of the apes movie...

Apologies if anyone thinks I am being primate-ist...

I will take a good woman commentator any day over some of these ex players. Just because you have played the game at the top level does not mean you can commentate!

You're spot on, I caught 20 minutes of last nights Doggies-Gold Coast game on the radio and Daisys commentary was better than any of the male commentary on TV. In fact she really stood out, shes very articulate and a quick thinker.

Listening to her and then thinking of BT/Darcy/McAvaney/Dwayne and the like made me cringe at how truly horrific they are.

Good post.

I for one will welcome the day when the blokey, misogynist, sexist, mindless ranting coming from all commentary boxes is replaced by more articulate women who enlighten us with their well considered thoughts on the game. The current trend of women commentating on the game is welcomed by this poster.

And agree, Daisy is superb and I am rapt she is associated with our great club.

This is what you post after a superb win. Uneffinbelievable. Who really cares.Once again physio, a total irrelevance.

I get that you are the dour tagger at demonland.  Problem is your opponent usually has 23 disposals and 4 goals... to half time.

Time to go back to the magoos (flame or big footy or stalkbook) and reinvent yourself.  Nothing more useless and irrelevant than a towelled-up tagger.

✔Seriously, should anyone be allowed to post on this forum that publicly declares his insatiable desire for Daisy and Co? This his first thought after a momentous Demon victory. Pedant.

Mel is from Sydney and not a footy commentator.

Read my thread starter.  She could do anything.  Soccer...cricket...lawn bowls.

Give her 5 minutes and she'll know more than Robbo and Sarah Jones combined.

She probably knows more than Robbo now.

Correction.  No "probably" about it.

I actually don't mind most commentators, even BT. The only one who gets under my skin is Dwayne Russell for his clear anti Dees bias. I was listening to the radio on the weekend and both commentators were women. I dont care what sex they are as long as I can understand the footy, and they have some ability with the English language.

Now the door is open to whoever wants to commentate, we will see more women invovled.

Give you 5 minutes and it gives you 4:59 to spare! Fair dinkum. Spending your time defending and being a flag waver for Mel McLaughlin.Embarrassing.Actually, you've finally outed yourself. Welcome to the forum Chris Gayle. Stick to physio Tugr...if u know what I mean.?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
