I've had to mute the telly, I just can not listen to one more useless BT comment again.

I've got a digital radio that is in sync with the telly when you watch, no more 5 second delay between the fm radio and TV coverage.

Just wondering who you think is the best radio channel for listening to the footy?

i watched the whole game on my phone in the car and switched between stations.... geez it was hopeless! the commentary was rubbish by all. didn't give us much of the spotlight at all. i normally listen to abc.

I usually go with ABC. Love Gerard Whateley and David Parkin when he's on.

However, lately they have been killing me with Mark McLure - the guys a nong!

Anything owned by Southern Cross Radio-I need ads forced into my head with a ramrod or I feel like I am not a viable member of society .

Must remeAmber to listen to the radio next time. BT drives me nuts and Tim Watson is a disrespectful cheat apologist dick!

Love the ABC commentary team.

Cannot tollerate the egos and sensationalism of the commercial networks.

Tried to listen to MMM recently and literally had no idea what was happening. In between the back slapping, innuendo and in-jokes they'd neglect to say who had the ball and where they were on the ground.

Usually ABC if they're doing the game, second would be AW, but they can go off on tangents at the best of times. I'm one of the weirdos who listens whilst I'm at the game.

Just before their day finished at 7pm, heard the guy on AW say, after 20-30 minutes of Collingwood rants and whinges from his fellow commentators, "And in late news, the result of the game has been changed: Collingwood 15-10-100 defeated Melbourne 15-14-104".

Says it all.

In olden days shenanigans like that were sacking offences.

Nowadays the commentators and their bosses are so undisciplined and self indulgent, that is seen as clever and completely justified.

Eddie McGuire the one to shatter the standard that commentators must be seen to be impartial. Thanks Ed.

Tim Lane if he is commentating on 3aw

Anthony Hudson and Matt Granlan on SEN

Gerard Wheatley on ABC

In that order

Ripper thanks for all your opinions! Seriously can't stand BT, I usually could handle the telly commentary but now it's like the cricket where it just makes me angry.

The purchase of the digital radio to cut the lag between the telly and the radio has been fantastic, I look forward to changing commentary teams at will!

Its the only time the ABC can be unbiased about anything.

Give me Tim Lane anywhere, any day.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
