Thought there would be more Filth supporters at the game today as Centrelink is closed on a public holiday ?

Collingwood banner: Winter is here / we're ready to go / will the Dees show up / or go to the snow.

It’s about as creative as I might have expected.

Dees return with

NO SNOW  NO SKIS

JUST A MIGHTY

BIG FREEZE

I've relented and have the game on.  Feel like going the big vom, just desperate to see us wipe the floor with these muppets and get ourselves into the 8!

And the answer from the Melbourne banner: No snow, No skis. /Just a mighty / Big freeze!

Go dees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go Dees..

Jesus..

Got a radio feed. Watts gone to the rooms...

As per standard we can't take a contested mark

from the AFL site:

Levi Greenwood has multiple goals for the first time this season. Prior to today he had 3.9 from nine games.

Agreed, but in front which is better than the norm!

Jetta and Hibberd have been great for us so far. Does Jetta ever make the wrong decision? And he’s tough as nails too. Love him.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
