GAMEDAY - Round 11

Dont even know where to begin. The laziness i saw out there wont show on tv. Harmes and Lewis were main culprits. Inexcusable after having week off. Its so frustrating to watch.

Never mind the turnovers, shocking handpasses and zero bloody awareness by just about everyone else.

What can we say about that second quarter?  The three men in white really stood up for Collingwood in that term.

One contest mark for a half (from Pedersen).

Lewis is too slow. Viney ineffective. Clearances abysmal.

Wise isnt wrong about our ability to come back like we have in many games.

Only problem is we need to stop handballing so badly.

We didn't get rid of him, he asked to leave.  Not much you can do about that.

Yes, I'd forgotten.  Thanks.

Have to start winning it in the middle.

We cannot handle expectation. Still

we will come back, but will it be enough.

But the MFC has been useless when the heat is really applied for as long as i have been around.

The Filth are playing half a side, but are desperate.

I'm getting sick and tired of us virtually always giving teams decent leads. We have to work our arses off just to get back into the game. How about working hard right from the start? You never know how that may work out. FMD.

We get opened up like no other team defensively. If we turn the ball over the other team is able to whip it down the other end with no issues at all

Bloody Oscar. Perfect chance to go back with the flight and spoilt but instead he watched it. The McDonald brother can be liabilities.

According to the radio we have four injured players. Bugg - hyperextended elbow, Watts - hip, Hannan - ankle and .... I've had a mental blank who the fourth one is.

I love Hunt but that kick cost us badly. We should've had a shot on goal and instead the Pies got the goal.

Just dont know about Jack Watts. I so wish he could he could step up.

Just read he was injured.

Dees just saved Buck's job

Melbourne's Jayden Hunt has recorded a match-high 534 metres gained. However, the Demons are retaining the ball from just 31 per cent of his disposals.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
