I see this as the third season defining game for us so far this season. I hope this is the game in which we define.

Can you define 'define'?

Somewhere out in the red heart of the country there a 22 men searching for the meaning of the term "season defining".

I wish them well.

That was last week.

Defined as not good enough

If we get done today, I hope Goody refrains from his typical:

"We're inconsistent because we're a young and developing side"

We're considerably more experienced and older than GC today.

I've had a good read on them the last month but I have absolutely no idea what to expect today, I wouldn't be surprised by a 10 goal win or a loss.

Jetta and Garlett... good to see the boys have a lifelong connection that has helped Jeff regain his awesomeness.

The boys are doing the painted boots again - love it

Possibly ,for mine  , the most perplexing frustrating aspect about today is i have absolutely no idea what to really expect. What I should be expecting is a 'stung' Demons going out before a pseudo home crowd and thoroughly trounce the coasters as a statement.

What will happen ? Anyone's guess.

MFC...we really ought to be past this by now !!

Every season defining game this year we have failed miserably, no expectation today as usually ends in disappointment. Sad I know, but that's Melbourne.

Even work colleagues still bag our side as flakey, which is true.

Lets see which Melbourne decide to show up today!!!

Really worried about Lynch and or Wright today. No doubt the suns will target Oscar's match up and exploit that as much as possible. Hoping our mids can be applying relentless pressure on their mid's so the delivery inside 50 can be shocking and get the ball to hit the ground and effectivly take their talls out of the game.

Also noticed Weed is an emergency and Watts is listed as on the bench... could we see a late change? Jack seemed a bit off last week might be carrying something?

I won't be able to watch today because I'm kindly doing some gardening for my dear old grandma...so if we somehow put 4 quarters together you'll all know it was my fault all along.

Having said that, I didn't watch the Freo game either and that didn't help much.

Well, the first 9 chapters of "The Journey" have been intriguing to say the least. I will read chapter 10 later on this afternoon.

Even if the reading is positive, do I return  the book in the fiction or non fiction section of the library?

I love this club but I must admit my head is messed up to the point where I can't feel the slightest bit of confidence sometimes.

Usual game day discomfort deep in my gut. Glad I have a fence to fix if I can't stand watching the game. This season is really starting to get to me.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
