It would be the biggest upset of the year so far.

I was quietly confident before the Hogan withdrawal.. Not so much now. Jacobs will absolutely dominate us which in some ways is better.. you know we'll lose 90% of the hit outs makes it more predictable than say having Spencer & losing 65%-70% so our mids are going to have to be on their game, which isn't really Adelaides strength so if we can win the midfield battle & give first use to our forwards & stem the flow inside Adelaide's F50 we are a chance.. Hopefully a smaller, mobile forward line can trouble the likes of Talia & Haritgan

I'm going in with zero expectations, as the Crows on their home turf are a scary proposition for any side at the moment, but I'm still looking forward to the contest.

I feel as though our midfield, especially around the contest, can easily match it with theirs and even though we're missing Hogan and Gawn, we are still fielding a pretty strong side.  We may get smashed, but I don't think it will happen.  Very much looking forward to seeing a few step up tonight to make the Crows earn it for 4 quarters.

Hannan and Petracca absolutely must present scoring options or we're stuffed I think.  Watts has to spend most of the game forward and TMac to take Watts' share of the ruck.  I'm okay with getting annihilated in the hitouts, what I'm not okay with is watching their ruckman take marks all over the ground.

I think I'll live if we have another one of those games where we are on top with the ball but have difficulty scoring - I think without a key forward that has to be expected a bit.  I'm going to be sad if we start the game asleep and lose because of it again though.

Like I said in the preview thread, I think there's a good chance we'll be outclassed, especially now that we're without our key forward again, but I really want to see improvements on delivering a four quarter effort.  It's coming; hopefully it starts now.

I still think we're a chance. A shoot out scares me, but if we can move the ball quickly and decisively, we're in with a real shot.

But we need to be in the game at quarter time. We can't be playing catch up. We need real self-belief at quarter time. Just to be ahead will be massive.

We'll show tonight even without arguably our two most important players in Max and Jesse, that we're a better team than the likes of Richmond and Geelong.

Reeling back a few goals doesn't scare me and I believe we could do this, but I think it'll say a lot about both teams if we can get a lead at quarter time. It'll say Adelaide either haven't responded after last week or that we're a lot better than people give us credit for.

Funnily enough it doesn't really scare me either - we've proven in every game this year that we can find enough goals to win games, it's the other way that worries me a little.  We can reel back a few, but I'm sure if we can reel back anything over 5.  If we let the Crows maul us early we may find it hard to work ourselves back into the contest.

expecting a hiding do anything better will be awesome.  awaiting the inevitable responses from my crows mates. however would just love it if we actually turn up and play our brand of footy and turn the game on its head, and then give it to my crows mates who have promised mive updates from tge oval

Game may well be over by half time if not earlier. Only interest will be if we drop our bundles, or fight till the end. Tonight will say a lot about where we really are at as a club.

Is there a reason we never have a forward who leads and presents?

It is the easiest way to straighten up and prevent the 2 millions sideways handballs, that lead to opposition goals every week.

I think we concede more shots on goal this way than any other side in the AFL. 

Errors such as mis-kicks including direct turn-overs or missing a target putting that player under extreme pressure, not killing a ball in a contest, too many going up in a contest, losing your feet in a contest, dropping marks.. it is an endless list.

No team possesses three key defenders that are as inconsistent as our three. No team. They'll have at least one who is consistently good.

Thanks mate, I know all that.  I just thought it was an interesting way to spend your evening by sitting down and just focusing on that.

Most of our unforced errors leading to goals come from up the ground.
