Now we just have to do that for another 3 quarters.

This coverage is pathetic. They stick the camera on Adelaide players and replays and we miss pivotal game play.

Couldn't believe that 30 second replay of a kick out that showed nothing instead of the actual play.

Quite a bit to like. Some good passages of play and a fair amount of errors.

Umps are holding the whistle for incorrect disposal and players who didn't have it of which Bugg was nearly a recipient towards the end of that qtr.

I'm loving what we are doing. But we can't leave a player free like that.

ps, King ov Hell is a crowd favourite. \m/

Good man!  It's true that we can't leave him free, but I believe it's due to the extra man within the contest.  He is hanging out the back like a seagull.

And in terms of Gorgoroth, I'll take 'Sign of an Open Eye' every day of the week! :)

Strangely long quarter, considering only 3 goals kicked.

Is something wrong with Hannan? Not a touch, tackle, 1%, anything?

Glad Weideman got a little involved right at the end of the quarter. Any little boost to the confidence for a kid with a tough gig is important.

that was the best i have seen all season

That replay was idiotic. They literally decided to not show live play so they could show the full-back wiggling his arm in the universal “run to the left” symbol. Super-secret tech there!

ha ha

This is such an even season, apply enough pressure and any team can win.

It's all about taking opportunities, the Crows have the forward line to do it, we will need to kick straight.

Stuck at a concert. Really appreciate the updates, Dlanders.

Who are you seeing frankie?

Foxtel commentators have no idea, the caller just called our coach Goodin.

Getting a bit sick of our tackles not going rewarded.

I can't believe that was a push in the back....

If we have to play the umps too, I give up.

Seriously I'm done with these made up rules.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
