A week ago the Dockers were total pox.

It'll be interesting to see if they can continue their form against the Dogs, which really relied on that outside run, or whether it was simply a one off performance. I think we'll be too strong around the ball for them even without Max.

Let's be totally honest.. if we don't beat Freo on the MCG with or without Max we're not going anywhere this year.

I have complete confidence in the team having a good win just like I had complete confidence in the team in their end of season game against Carlton last year... wait a minute !!!

In: Spencer, Pedersen, Bugg

Out: Gawn, Weideman, Hannan

Weideman will be a player, but he finds it hard without Hogan.  A week at Casey won't do him any harm.

I like Hannan, but a couple of games at Casey won't harm him either.

The VInce injury sounds very awkward/painful..  dont think we will see him vs the Dockers unfortunately.

And the MRP chose to ignore what was allegedly a deliberate stomp behind the play. How surprising. Still, if Bernie tried it back on his assailant next time he would undoubtedly find himself out for a few weeks.

Agree with the sentiment, but on the other hand, 3 of our main forwards had little impact on the game, or the scoreboard. Hannan, Weideman and Smith is perhaps one too many developing forwards in the same team, especially without Hogan there to steady the ship.

There are plenty of good excuses to call in sick for work. Just don't call in with delayed concussion. Seems your still fit to work whenever your boss wants you.

When safe schools was a thing I'd just decide I was female that day and call in sick due to having a "woman's problem." No questions were ever asked.

Reminds me of an old joke.

One day Ethan showed up to work, only he wasn't Ethan any more, he was Evonne. He'd had a sex change operation.

"Geez", we said. "Did it hurt when they ... you know .. chopped off your ... you know."

"Yeah" said Evonne. "That did hurt, but that wasn't the thing that hurt the most."

"And it must have hurt when they pumped all that silicone into your chest."

"Well, that hurt too. But that wasn't the thing that hurt the most."

"What was it that hurt the most?"

"When they cut my salary in half."

(The traditional ending is "when they scooped out half my brains" but in this modern day and age no one would dare try that one on. Unless you don't care for all that political correctness, in which case choose the ending that suits your particular outlook on life.)

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
