My info is the club is very confident the crows will accept our current offer.

Our current offer is NOT pick # 10 & 27

it is pick #10 and a 2018 second round pick.

The club is very much hoping to sell the crows on that deal, and use the potential watts deal combine with #27 to gain another first round pick.

Well knock me down with a feather...... do you mean to say we are already negotiating????

What part of "negotiating" dont you guys get?

Final numbers to be sorted, but its STILL part of negotiations.

Cannot believe anyone actually thinks that clubs do not negotiate outside of the trade window.

Staggering.

Crows knew lever was going about 6 weeks ago and they knew he was definitely coming to Melbourne about 12 days ago so the best and fairest situation looks even worse on their part.

Melbourne and the crows have been chatting about this deal for a while.

It will probably take most of the trade period but it’ll get done

Seems like there may have been unrest the whole finals series.....probably lucky they made it that far.

That explains the pre finals match stance.

Wonder what 20 & 27 would get us?

Interesting. Thanks evil.

That is a very fair offer for a player who did not figure in the Crows' top ten in their Best and Fairest and who scored one Brownlow vote (same as Oscar McDonald)!

So Adelaide offer lever $300k but are willing to pay the biggest downhill skier in motlop $600k lmao what is wrong with that club

“Choose to pay one of the most down-hill skiers in Motlop over $600k, yet have the audacity to completely initially low-ball Lever then run around like headless chooks to try and retain him, followed by a wave of abuse towards him when he accepts a better offer elsewhere. No wonder this club can’t retain their players.”

Look how similar my first sentence is with yours lol.

Haha i saw Crows were interested in Motlop today and had a big old laugh. Just wait they need another downhill skier who would be great on Grand final day.

He's already wearing red and blue.

I like this part from the article.

“I think he has given his heart and soul to the footy club over the past three seasons and people would always say he was the first to get there and last to leave."

Jack Viney would like that.

AFL website reporting Crows have offered Motlop $600k - and they're cracking the sads because we offered $750k to Lever???

Secured all the finance for my new film and trade week starts tomorrow. Life is good! ???

I'm guessing that your new film is an update of the Manchurian Candidate through an MFC lens with Matt Damon playing Jack Watts in the role of 'Queen of Diamonds'. Close?

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front.  They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
