Funniest thing ever after that campaign was after they got annihilated, someone doing a photoshop with a bunch of downcast Carlton players with the caption, "they knew we were coming".

Didn't they also have "can you smell what the Blues are cooking?" Another one open to a spectacular backfire. Someone in the Carlton marketing group was working overtime in the late 00s.

Making poor decisions seems to be like a contagious disease at a footy club.

From the top down, Carlton is a very sick football club. Ain't it a beautiful thing!

Bwahahaha!!!

I really find it funny - and not in the good way - when the demon supporters have a go at 'whatever it takes' given it was one of Jimmy's go to lines - hell it was even the title of his book. He got it from the sign that used to hang over the doorway to exit into the race to enter the G from our old change rooms.

Fairly obviously the Bombers copied this from us to use as their unfortunate tagline a couple of years back.

I like it. Finally we renounce Mamby Pambyism for good I hope. Sorry mums if it frightens the kids.

America your use of the term "mamby pambyism" in a thread about toughening up our hashtag is also a little frightening!

On each other in the shower after.

Of course we know they are coming.  The league puts out the fixture the previous year!

The Essendrug one - win at all costs - or whatever it was, was prophetic.

I like #raisehell.  It should represent how we play evert moment this year.

With midefield that features Jone, Viney, Oliver, Vince, Leiwis and big Max, yep it's appropriate.

Jones and Max in particular could be mistaken for maurading Vicking warriors.  I see that Billy Stretch has also been to the barber to get a very short, angry looking hair cut.  Good to see that the boys are taking the hashtag to heart and playing like raising hell too.

As for Bernie - did I detect a bit of a moe that he is growing?  It's too blonde and looks like a ripper porno moe if I've ever seen one.  Actually don't mind him getting rubbed out, all the team needs to play on the edge like he does.  We will see who plays 'bruse free footy' later today won't we.

Good to see we are finally using the hole demons hell thing for markating.

Really... for such "hell raising" song the vocals are too soft and clean.

I like the hashtag, hate the song.

I would much prefer this, but you're not going to get anything harder than 80s power balladry at a footy game.

Was funny at the game yesterday with the bells ringing out before the players ran out, then the start of the song leading into a completely contrasting theme song. One seems quiet menacing then you've got the very old school 'grand old flag', they just don't gel. The start sounded something like the Undertaker coming out to a wrestling match.

Before I vote, could I ask how many new Chinese members have we attracted since we gave up our unnactceptable to them DEMONS thrust ?

We pioneered China, we kicked footies over the wall. We've got South China Airlines as a sponsor but port and gcs are over there this year on AFL approval.

Stuff them all. Never mind about # raisehell as much as I like it.

We are first and foremost the bedevilled pitchforked DEMONS from the MCG.

Long may we live .Soon may again succeed.

GO DEES and lets stick the pitchfork right up em all where it rightfully belongs
