JLT Round 4, Thursday 9th March - West Coast at Subiaco

Must be tired already - a few weeks before it happened last year.

Will Tom ever improve his short passing skills i wonder. He is better off handing off or bombing it long IMO. He is not alone tonight but he just doesn't seem to improve in this basic, but much needed, skill set required in today's game.

Missing Nev Jetta badly.

Missing Garlett or Kent badly.

WCE continue to run it easily out through our half forward line with players coming unaccompanied from behind the ball carrier.

Is there a record for opposition goals from turnovers?

Watts' decision making from a mark is insipid.

He either drifts off the mark forcing the umpire to call play-on (therefore is suddenly under pressure) or he doesn't get back behind the mark quick enough and is under pressure from the man on the mark.

Spencer free kick and it's back to 2 points.

Our pressure and run through the middle, when it works, has been great and that pressure helped us get that goal.  Our kick hands and better decision making was good, too.

I think you are a little biased there, I have been really impressed with his decision making

I said in an earlier JLT post that Spencer would play round one, a lot disagreed with me, but I'm sticking by it.

Our lack skill will damn us. Way to many turn overs when under little pressure.

Our fitness may lift us.

Speedy small fwd would be handy with speedy back man.

What he does when he takes a mark (excluding shots on goal) is terrible.

Garland should never play again.

Garland barely VFL standard.

Because Jones is a gun and is allowed some errors. Garland is spud. Barely depth.

I hope that's a joke.

So what I'm sensing is you don't like Colin. Am I warm?

Garland is a liability. He doesn't effect contests, but leaves his man.

Vince is making really bad skill errors and super poor disposal . What's up there ??

Tic toc.., tic toc

Why the f does every MFC player and their dog have to jump for the pack mark, no matter how unrealistic their chances? Then to leave several WCE players to crumb easily. Happens more regularly than I care to remember

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
