Timing wise, if a deal has been struck, I'd announce it just before the season starts. Might bring in a few extra members and build further momentum. In PJ we trust.

Hmmm....
I'm a little worried about the lack of BOJ sponsor. PJ hasn't put a foot wrong really since arriving but I think he will need to get cracking on this one.
That being said, it should happen before round 1. I just would like it to happen sooner.

Exactly. There is no way he isn't on top of it. Going into the season without a BOJ sponsor would be future career suicide for a CO of Jackson's standards. They just don't make these sorts of mistakes. I feel pretty confident we are just waiting to time the announcement for maximum effect. Or maybe they're just held up a bit due to actually doing some research on the company this time before accepting bundles of tainted cash.

Have you ever heard of someone becoming a member of a football club because of its sponsors?

TAC has some cash to spare, although Clarry got done for speeding recently.

Drink driving I thought. Let's be honest any TAC/footy club partnership is fraught with danger. They've already had to cut ties with Collingwood, Richmond and Geelong due to player indescretions.

you'll have to trust in pj. yeah, i know, time is running out. suspect (actually hope) he has a few options and holding out for better price

For impact and "impression" youd announce it AFTER the pretend footy and before the real ;)

In my view at this point there are two options.

We have one and are waiting for the best time to release it or there is none at this point.

This may be PJ's first failure

It is difficult to find the right time if you don't have one to announce bb.

I would have thought the club was a good      place for a sponsorship right now.

I find the whole thing very strange...

Maybe companies are still to forgive CS for the way he dealt with sponsorships, no doubt Company CEO's would have talked amongst themselves back then.

For an emerging AFL Club who is part of a $2 Bill broadcast deal to not have a BOJ Sponsor at the beginning of a season is just wrong...

PJ and co have earnt the right for us to give them the benefit of the doubt. However supporters are naturally wary due to the failures of previous administrations. It's not a big deal at the moment as I have faith that the club are working on this to ensure it gets done by round 1, it's just a little odd at the moment is all especially with our increased exposure and expected upturn in performance.

How can you know..if not announced ? That's my point. Roll them out when you get more of an impact. The club is now very good at keeping mum until it wants to release its news.

Young men will never learn not to drink-drive ... but the TAC should know that. They are the slow learners.

Can we not just put AHG on our back until we find a new sponsor?

We look like amateur hour without a back sponsor. I feel like I'm watching the Dees circa 1993.

Whatis the point in that?

telling potential companies that we don't need more sponsorship?

Clown School.
