There’s no doubt about where his father’s loyalty lies after last night. Here he is in the crowd celebrating after last night’s win.

Jason Taylor said in the recent Draft update that they are watching and speaking to Kobe. The Wiz is very keen for him to come to the Dees.

But he is barely 16yo and so there is a lot of water to go under the bridge

I once bumped into the Wiz lining up for the toilets at subi oval. He wasn't wearing any colours though so I asked him where his allegiance lied. He didn't hesitate - Melbourne

I have heard these statements via media and associates several times: Jeff said: '... Kobe will be a Demon and nothing else...', and '...Melbourne is still my heart and soul...'. We have to find a way to sponsor Kobe right now as a family member of the MFC tribe, his education, his development - all for sentimental reasons related to one of our greatest players.

If we were still basket-case level of shyteness circa 2013/14 then I doubt the Wiz would be so effusive of his son coming to the MFC.

Probably correct, McQueen, so it seems you may be hinting that as we are no longer 'basket-case' or 'dunny-can' it may be possible to aspire for Kobe Farmer where his dad can see him assist in a MFC premiership win - coz we're going to win 6 in a row starting next season! You are in WA I think you've mentioned, can you check him out for us and report sometime in the future?

I hate to burst any bubbles but whilst it's not everything he didn't make State u/16s Academy this year.

Taj Schofield son of Jarryd the best of the bunch who will head to SA next year and play with Woodville West Torrens

Wiz has also stated on a couple of occasions that he would rather see his boys line up for Melbourne too, so there's always hope!

To be eligible he needs 2 b 18 in his draft year so does anyone know if he turns 18 this year or next?

Maybe , maybe not.
Many of us still loved the Wiz, even after he left.
He obviously still loves the club.

And on a different note.
I hold Jack and Todd Viney in the highest regard for their early commitment to the cause during the "basket-case level shyteness circa 1014/1014"

That's a thousand year commitment from the Viney's.

Pretty awesome indeed.

That's ok, let him fly under the radar a bit so we don't need to pay overs with draft pick points etc when we bit for him.  Maybe he could play for that mob at Tambellup for a bit - I heard there was a pretty good player from there once!

Dont think Kobe is rated as highly as many think.

Didn't get selected for any state under 16 selection and doesn't look like he will be playing state footy this year.

Don’t just assume it’s all about the under 18s. Kobe should still be in our plans even as a project type.  Dees need the electricity of such youngsters.

I hope  we draft him at least as a rookie.

But you haven't seen him play? So how would you know he has some form of "electricity" or whatever that even means..

For all we know he could be another dud like Dion Johnstone? If so then i dont want him on the list.

Maybe @Pennant St Dee has some info on Koby perhaps?

If I recall correctly the wizz was a late bloomer and a very late draft pick. Kobe may be the same.
