Came 17th in their B&F from 15 games.  Clearly the coaches are not rating his contribution.

Did I read that he's had one top 10 finish in his career?

He's so talented, but gee there are red flags.

Think it's one top 5 finish.

Pretty sure he regularly finishes around 7th/8th.

I think you're right, but from my quick research I don't think he's had a top 5 B&F finish.  He's had a 7th and a couple of 8ths, but I couldn't find a top 5.

Well at least we're both partially wrong. :)

With Hartlett due to talk to Victorian clubs this week should we be seriously considering talking to him?

If we could/be willing to absorb his lengthy high priced contract would a second round pick (either this year or next) ANB and a swap of latter picks be in the ball park?

We should certainly be talking to him.  And if we deem he's the right fit and he nominates us then we should ensure we get him.

Reckon if we do take him we'll need to part with next years 1st Rounder to get HH and something else back.  Port want picks this year, so any deal would have to be something like our 2017 1st Rounder to GWS for Pick 15 & 51 (for example) and we then on trade Pick 15 for HH.

On big coin for a long time. Port may find it hard to move him.

It becomes similar to the Cloke trade. Being on big coin reduces his trade value. If Port are committed to moving him, they won't be getting a 1st rounder for him.

AFL Trade Whisperer ‏@AFLTradeWhisper  2h2 hours ago#whispers an initial meeting between Hartlett and ESS did not go well. I'm told HH was "extremely" late to the meeting and seemed "bored

Warning Attitude problem! If he cant show the courtesy to at least pretent to be interested (no matter which club he is having a 'chat' to)......... Not the type of player you want around our up n coming young players. Maybe one of the many reasons Port Has chosen shop him around!

Or maybe he just wasn't interested in Ess or Worsfold.

Maybe he also went to a Freo interview and fell asleep listening to Ross?

I (now) trust our recruiters to do due diligence and pick players who are committed to the cause.

Is this the same "Trade Whisperer" who said Hogan was going to retire to travel the world?

Agree for the past couple of years our FD has been some of the best preformed. Really great job by Taylor, Mahoney, Viney and co.

I don't think Hartlett will be at the Dees in 2017 personally

Can see the tigs picking him up

LOL, what a load of garbage.

Rob Kerr (Essendon) just mentioned that the club hasn't even met him yet.

Take him in a heart beat.

Would be a great fit for out squad and would flourish in a young energetic side with Goodwin at the helm.

After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
