What has he done to deserve that?

The real question SWYL is what has he not done!

Dermott Brereton was scathing:  “He is plenty big to rough it up with anyone … (Instead) he runs to the drop of the ball and within two seconds of the ball on its flight path being about to drop, he pulls out of the contest and wants to crumb it...“He’s a powerful beast but to me he’s looking for maximum reward from minimum effort and minimum contact to him...“He’s brave but at the moment he is wanting to play his footy without suffering any body punishment.”

When given the opportunity Beveridge didn't disagree with Dermott's comments.

From AA to VFL - some fall from grace!  Albeit temporary I'm sure.

Got to give it to the Bulldogs to have the courage to make that call.

Ahh he has been dropped. Fair and square. I thought he must have done something off field.

I have heard that Brereton quote on SEN but wasn't aware who it referred to. (I am not in the country right now)

bit of a worry for the Dogs...

Hopefully we can meet them in a few weeks!!

Well it probably helps they are playing essendon. But highlighted on some footy shows last week they showed him not wanting to go in for the ball and just waiting for the easy handball over the top. He also mis read the ball and fumbled it. I guess they want him right for the finals.

Geez I hope sydney thrash nth. Just to reduce there percentage and have Brad Scott nervous for a week.

What a feral crowd, I wonder how many women have been punched in the crowd tonight.

Honestly, I dont care about the result. Hawthorn will get assistance by travelling in week 1 and not having to play one game in a month from the two byes OR Some games including a prelim at the MCG isn't a bad thing.

Gee amazing how average the Dorks look since we burst their 9 game bubble! Not that I am happy with this since I put a heap on them to win the flag when they looked like a monty to do it, but that was before we beat them.

When is the last time You saw Burgoyne make 6 or more clangers. Strange performance by the Dorks. Amazing what pressure does to even great players.

Whorethorn getting beaten keeps GW$ hungry next week...

If anyone is to care about that GWS v NTH came then it would mean we've beaten Geelong, and so they'll be hungry regardless of Hawthorn and will be playing to overtake the Cats.

Must be impossible for the umpires tonight. Eagles over there must get lots of free kicks but that means not giving free kicks to hawthorn! It's a wonder they aren't all in the fetal position repeating that they don't know who to favour...

GW$ getting a top 4 spot has nothing to do with us.

Whorethorn's % is the weakness

Hawthorn are ahead of GWS by 8 points. Are you predicting Collingwood to beat them and GWS caring about making 3rd instead of just 4?

King and Healy heaping praise on Melbourne tonight, essentially crediting our team for setting the blueprint on how to defeat Hawthorn. Provided identical examples of clearances the Eagles have taken directly from our win.

Once again we were ahead of the game and our footy department has worked out an opposition team that others haven't. A bit like Roos working out how to destroy Hardwick's systems from the very first match.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
