Ports bench looks like a war zone. These AFL clubs are starting to figure out that going the biff against the Dees is just not gonna work.

Let's keep a lid on this fellas. I can't see us winning by any more than about 80 points so let's not get too excited.

You are not exactly a natural at lid insertion, are you Reverend? :)

Jeffy needs to work harder once he gets free in the middle with ball in hand. He has great speed and should be able to run lines. Used to do this more at Carlton and a little more in his early games with us. Too quick to just dish off the ball without taking the game on now. Of little value to us if he's going to keep doing this as he rarely gets a few goals either anymore.

Would rather see Newton, Matty or Grimes get a game at this point if this continues for the remainder of this match

Sorry but Hogan is horribly out of form. Weids or Hullet would offer more value/impact at this point

I have forgotten how good, tough and clean Brayshaw is. Really enjoying every play he is in. Hunt and Dom Tyson - wow.

Our play through half-forward is fairly clumsy at times, we should have 3 or more goals by now, and the two clumsy misses by Garlett and Pedo were excruciating.

Our backline is immense. Some of our best team football in years, stifling Port inside their forward 50, then running it out through gut running, and 2nd and 3rd efforts.

Huge 3rd quarter coming up. Can we play 4 quarters of our best footy?

History is not what it used to be.

I dunno why I'm so nervous about this game. It's exactly the sort of game I reckon we can turn up to after half time and lose. Maybe it's MFCSS.

This is a good performance especially since we have a few of our better players a little down today (Hogan especially).

I'm so in love with Hunt I mean really he is a star!

You're obviously not watching the game?  Port dominated possession and inside 50's that quarter but couldn't finish off.

I am watching. Port's disposal is abysmal. They aren't running both ways. Our transition is killing them. They have 0 contested marks. We have 13 more contested possessions. Viney, Jones, Watts and Hogan have done nothing. We go forward and score. Our defense is pummeling their attack.

Hunt on track to getting that Rising Star nom.

I reckon he has faded somewhat in a few earlier games. Needs to maintain his rate of possessions.

To those bagging every O.Mac touch in his first few games.

Wow, he has the goods I think.

When was the last time the Dees were $1.01 at half time in any game?

i agree they were better in the second, but we have taken everything they have thrown at us, now we have to come out and finish their season in an emphatic fashion, enough for us to start to give Norf a scare.

I think Norf know were coming...

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
