GAMEDAY - Round 20

Featured Replies

Ha ha, that was hilarious from Frost. ย Almost cost us a goal but he tried to run in between 2 players and stuffed it up.

Look at those efforts from Petracca to run down his opponent there. This will be an amazing last quarter.

6 point lead to us at three quarter time....Can we hold on?

Edited by Demon Jack

I went into this game excited to see the kids get in there and have a crack. ย Didn't truly expect a win, but knew it would be close.

Now I'm [censored] myself.

Bring it home Dees!!

Kicking to lower scoring end in final quarter. Can't see us getting up but will be good effort

ย

Bloody brilliant. I actually reckon the terrible umpiring has geed them right up and we're going to roll over the top.

Umps definitely keeping hawks in this. Psychologically Hawks know they'll come out on top w umps. ย Not so our boys

if it were just a few here and there we'd wear it. But, this is so blatantly biased. The Emperor's new Clothes, methinks

Well if it is a 50/50 quarter by the muppets, we very well might.

This would be the greatest win in a decade, if we can overcome both Hawthorn and the umpiring.ย

When was the last time we ever got a good run from the umps? They [censored] hate us.

C'mon mate, back them in! ย I know you can! :)

C'mon Dees we can do this!

We're more desperate than they are at this point.

Viney and Tyson were absolutely immense that quarter.

My worry is more that Hawthorn just know how to get it done in a tight game.

Having said that, we'll win one of these games soon and we'll never look back.

Just win this quarter by 1 point...ย

We will have our token no goal final quarter like most close games

The youngest team, off a 6 day break, against triple premiers with the worst umpiring its 3/4 time and we are STILL IN FRONT!!!!!

I would hope every player has the West Coast game etched in their heads right now. And all the other ones we lost at the final hurdle.

ย

Well its there for the taking.

Surely the umpiring breaks must go our way.

Dissapointed with pedos return and I dont know what has happened to garlett. Not tackling at all is unacceptable. Not sure he will be playing next week.

But full credit to jones, tyson and viney.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFLโ€™s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.ย
