Been updated to 20-60mm with 95% chance of rain.

Expect one of Frost or O Mac to be dropped down back and possibly Dawes up forward.

So who comes in with 95% chance of rain?

Wagner is the present and the future.  He plays like there are no tomorrow's. Let him make mistakes but he represents the new MFC. No going back to the tried, tested and failed. Other than where injury means there is no other choice. Nostalgia or sentimentality should not get a guernsey.

Umm... We're in agreement then.

Jack Nostalgia I was thinking of as you would have known old friend. On re-reading my post it does seem a little tough as i am really quite sentimental although not nostalgic but I do hope he gets to play 100 games. Did you enjoy some suitable refreshment after the big game? I am thinking of a single malt. Laphroaig is my favourite tipple although not taken for some time.

You will not believe it Ernest but yes I had a couple of quiet libations last night.

Actually finished the Laphroaig bottle.

Sadly I am now in the same camp as you.It has become a little pricey.

Wagner makes too many mistakes and White has earned his chance.  That's the only change subject to rain in which case Dawes and OMac/Frost may miss.

Sorry Steve, I did not read your earlier post, my attention is not that good these days, although I do often find myself in agreement with you. You are one of my favourite actors and I use the present tense as you are very much alive in spirit.

Yes I've seen the forecast. Another massive storm ..Sunny in Melb

Posted

Is anyone injured?

If not I reckon Dees will travel unchanged.

I would go in unchanged; a big win and no one really put in a great showing for Casey.

Take Grimes, Harmes and ANB on the flight and if the rain is that torrential, perhaps sub one of them into the line-up for one of our tall defenders.

Small ground, wet weather forecast and some talls for Sydney out injured. I think we are a tall too many if the Swans go for a small forwardline setup.

Going in too tall? This astrological chart predicts the Frost Risk is nil.

Myself and mate heading up and I was hoping to get in a swim at Coogee Sat arvo given that the races are out at Rose Hill. May spend the arvo in the Coogee Bay Hotel instead. BTW I swim each morning at Torquay with Brian Cook - me in a wetty, he without. Pretty chilly this morning at 1 degree (water temp 13). I don't know how he does it.

Oliver was average against Pies but we need his hardness and contested work against Swans. Wagner out for Grimes

Matt Jones in but no idea who for. I just loved Jones in the side earlier and want him back

Mind-boggling post. Wagner for Grimes? Are you serious? One is beautifully poised and hits targets the majority of the time under extreme pressure. Grimes can't hit the side of a barn under no pressure.

And why bring in Matt Jones just for the sake for it? He's not best 22. He's a fringer.

With Tippet out we have on serious advantage going into next week, which is the ruck.

Do we exploit that and bring in Spencer?

Just a thought.

Yes, a la Geelong last year. I like it...

Those calling for Vanders to be dropped have rocks in their head. His 2 or 3 games back.....ready to breakout..... We need his hard body against Sydney.

Watched the replay last night to confirm Vanders went more than ok and had about 5 goal assists and some great tackles and important blocks so I agree whole heartedly with you gOLLY

or collingwood v melbourne this year.

We will/should not go the two ruckman set up with Spencer unless we are down a key forward and even in that instance it would make sense Pedersen would be the replacement.

Cant see any real changes, unless someone has pulled up poorly from the 6 day break. That being said, we have performed quite poorly after a 6 day and often looked lethargic and thus the possibilty of freshening up the squad with 2-3 changes could be a realistic option.
Only player I could really think of rotating out for a rest is Stretch, but he has really been pretty consistent over the past month.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
