Great to see Horse win this weeks rising star nomination, well done young man

I remember saying last season I didn't think he was good enough...... how wrong I was! Really loving his play this season and what a great rookie pick up!

Some will say that personal awards and in this case a nomination don't matter, but this is a fantastic achievement. Has set a nice high bar with some fine form, now keep raising it. Well done young man.

What's his nickname: Horse or Chomp?

I would prefer horse myself for obvious reasons!

His fitness and disposal have seriously stepped up a notch this year. Still only 20 and will have highs and lows, but has shown some excellent form at times this year. Well deserved nomination.

OMG we really do have a great bunch of young guys coming through, together, right now.  That is what great teams are made of.

Well done.

Could be anything. Sharp skills, quick thinker, hard, tough and loves the contest. Hits the scoreboard and backs himself taking marks. As long as he keeps his front half pressure, along with Kent and Kennedy, we really are building a dangerous half forward line.

Congrats chomp!

I reckon Harmes played a better game and deserves a nod before Trac

Just sayin....

Great work from Harmes. Well deserved. Worked hard when the heat was on in the 1st qtr especially

Well done.

We have a very very strong midfield building. Already the best clearance team in the comp...add to that hopefully one of Prestia or O'meara. Good times ahead.

Great news and well deserved. He is exciting to watch.

He also shows very contagious enthusiasm.

The benefits of having a competent development team.

Well done James.

Harmes is an old school throw back. All footballer. Nomination will do a lot for his confidence. He belongs, now next step. Has the skill set. Rest is up to him.

Another great story for the MFC, well done James, well done development Team.

Sense a little bit of white line fever in the way he seems to love the contest. Highly recommended ball player,

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
