Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

CASEY SCORPIONS v FRANKSTON

Gee petracca is lippy. Extremely confident lad...pedo clunks a mark.."too strong boahh!!!!!" Exclaims petracca.

To weeds at the qtr time huddle "youve gotta f***in take that weeds" referring to his bullet kick earlier.

Really like mitch whites game. Hes vocal, a good size with good footskills. Seems a leader.

Garland on the other hand kicks it sideways when he gets it and said zero at the qtr time huddle. For a bloke in the leadership team in the seniors he just seems over it. Jaded almost.

Trengove had his head over it and was knocked flat on his back. As soon as he was able to get up he did but fairly wonky.

Poor mitch king was wailing on the field in quite a lot of pain.

Anb amognst it but not notable, brayshaw aggressive as anything but i wish he would be a bit cleaner. Even running into an open goal he kicked a tumbler that was lucky to to through.

Weideman a target but fumbly. Hulett unsighted, terlich is terlich.

Jayden hunt might have something.

He just came back to the bench on crutches with knee on ice. Seemed to be putting some weight on it. ACL??

Anyone know? Is getting around on crutches iced up and putting some weight through the knee consistent with ACL?

JKH is down after going for a one-hander, holding his right hammy.

2 weeks ago we were cheering a win and being envious about how can we fit all these players into our side and being quite healthy.

Fast forward, embarrassing loss to Essendon, players dropped, multiple injures in one week.

I walked off the ground after my second. Generally very painful at first, then nothing as a complete rupture includes ruptured nerves. The pain is usually from the dislocation that comes with it. Walking, even jogging after it means nothing. The structural test they do can confirm u have done it but can't confirm u haven't as the muscles spasm and lock everything in place. He would know, if he's done it before.

HALF TIME

8.9.57 Casey

3.4.22 Franga

Casey kicked 5 goals to 2 in the 2nd qtr.  Entertaining first half. Worrying for Dees supporters with Mitch King - ACL, Jack Trengove - Concussion and JKH - Hamstring

35 point lead at half time.

For me Oscar, Hunt & White have been our best controlling half back, although White has dropped a couple of marks.

Michie & Nibbler have been in everything in the middle and Pedersen has given a target.

Petracca done a few exciting things and getting busier the longer the game goes.

Costly night so far though, although Trenners might be good for next week.

How will Trengove be right when he won't play any more part in the game after failing a concussion test??

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt

THE MEANING OF FOOTY by Whispering Jack

Throughout history various philosophers have grappled with the meaning of life. Aristotle, Aquinas, Kant, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer and a multitude of authors of diverse religious texts all tried. As society became more complex, the question became attached to specific endeavours in life even including sporting pursuits where such questions arose among our game’s commentariat as, “what is the meaning of football”? Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin must be tired of dealing with such a dilemma but,

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n
