Who do you think will also debut for us in 2016?

After watching Oliver's blinder of a first half, I thought about who else we're going to debut throughout the year.

Tracs a given, is Max King a possibility? Hunt? Maybe even Weeds if Frost or Pedo are injured. Who do you guys think'll pull on the red and blue for the first time this year?

Petracca and Weidman. Wagner, Hunt and/or Hulett ahead of the Kings though. Unless we have a run of injuries, there may not be much room for anyone else to debut this year considering Trengove has still got to come in and HL, Dunn, Brawshaw, Strech,  ANB and JKH to force their way back in before the others are even contemplated. Also expect Dawes to play a few games this year.

Still think when Weideman is ready, he'll be the one who plays deep forward most of the time.

Jesse has many more strings to his bow and as a CHF he'd be able to impact more regularly and in other ways. His field kicking is also quality.

Might not happen this year, but I'd say that's the plan into the future.

Interesting trying to predict when the season has started with the FD promoting any rookies, even the additional one we are allowed as compensation for Melksham.

On one hand I'd love to see all of them get a run at some point to see what they can do on the big stage but on the other if this eventuates its most likely we've had a shocking run with injuries.....

I reckon/hope Tracca & Trenners force their way into the team soon, reckon Weeds could by the end of the year. Those 3 are class players. The rest are a little green for mine, but if they force their way in & its not because of injury I'll be stoked!!

I see us blooding a few young blokes not only because we need to keep the development rolling, but also because we take a super conservative approach now with injuries and fitness, and I think with improved depth this year we may rest a few blokes as the season goes on.

Honestly thought Hulett would be far away considering his run of injuries before being drafted. Like the look of Wagner, was a bit nervy against the Saints but him, Omac and White could all be solid down back.

We are no longer in development mode, there will be no gifting of games, and the experience of each team we put out there is an important question.

Weideman et al. Can take their time until they knock the door down.

We are a deeper unit than years gone by, meaning games will be harder to get. Tracs will break into the team at some point. I would think we will see weeds in the back half of the season when either his vfl form or our injury list stacks up. As for the others, they will need great casey performances to get a sniff.

But you will care when they do take the field and stomp around like monsters!

It would also be a delight to have an unexpected breakthrough from an unheralded player.

I think Weiderman may get a run later in the year but noone else really stands out in my opinion

I had a good chat to Liam Hulett on Saturday, told him his main job would be to look after the Weed in the VFL, laughed said he is itching to play and start banging bodies, he is a seriously built 19 yr old, they have put no expectations on him whatsoever, just want to "listen and learn" the Roos mantra. Going to play him as a forward to begin with but also told him he will need to develop versatility, another Roos mantra

Pretty sure they will both push up and back 'steve', Weideman seems pretty mobile as well. Whatever happens though, along with Watts, Petracca and Garlett they are going to be a real handful.

I agree with that. If Pederson keeps his form up, Dawes won't get a game ahead of him. Weideman is behind Dawes (I would've thought). I think Weideman plays the year in VFL unless - as you say - he absolutely bashes the door down. Light on frame though, I wouldn't be rushing him.
