Port started with one short on their bench, as Wingard pulled out in the warmup, and then we lost Brayshaw in the first 10 seconds, so both teams effectively had 7 on the bench.

oh I take it back then, had they used rotations we would have been flogged

Dwayne commentating GC v WC and has credited Melbourne's second half to the greater number of rotations. You knew he'd be referencing it at some point. Just can't help himself when it comes to the MFC. The only reason he didn't bring it up ten times during the game itself was that he wasn't aware of it.

love your work P-man but i stopped reading at the first mention of Dwayne.

any charge for a print at home ticket is absolutely a cash grab - nothing more.

you do realise though that administering tickets for an event is a business that requires work/staff/overheads right? It can't just be free. I do not work for such a company btw lol

Saying the jury is still out in Frost is IMO a bit premature.

The prosecution and the defense haven't even completed their cases.

The jury may be listening but hasn't retired to consider their verdict yet.

He needs a lot more game time to see just where he is best suited, if at all.  IMO it would be great if he could become a tall forward, though Weed and / or Huelett may come into consideration sometime later in the season, depending of course on how the team progresses and if finals are on the cards.

I don't think we'll start to see the best of him,  until he gets this season under his belt.

he personally has a lot of time up his sleeve to get right.

what a load of shlt.... you do realise it all part and parcel of the cost of business.   FMD  you d have us  paying for the ability to pay at the supermarket.

Something cost X..thats all .. you cant turn around and say  its X +  Y ...Y being the actual act of paying for it.

DO you go to Woolies  scan  your food.. see say  34.75 ...go to pay and see an additional cost for the ability to pay the 34.75 ?  No you dont. Its just a bloody scam by shlt businesses to gouge

Or airlines that quote a price then charge you a fee to use a credit card but they do not accept any other form of payment.

entitled

the time of entitlement.  those wonderful  Hockeyism  Liberalist  words,  that are heart felt by business types.  But those same people also feel that all they're tax deductions,  for the wifes car costs,  the kids private education,  &  entertainment, interstate/overseas travel expenses,  and all those lunches, etc etc are all tax writedowns.

entitlement,,,,,, what entitlement ????????

You pay for the check out person, you pay because the credit card provider charge the supermarket.

It's built in.

Not sure if this went any further but Choice were up in arms about it last year and the ACCC were looking into it.

There are two charges - a processing or booking fee which i have no problem and then you have a delivery fees - you can pay for tickets to be delivered by standard mail, registered mail or you can print the tickets at home.

Many times they do not charge for print at home option -

Tickets/Items

AU $201.76

Handling Charge

AU $5.95

Delivery via: eTicket

No Charge

Other times you get charged - as i said - cash grab and as BB said - thieves

Doesn't worry me Nut.  I'd much rather have the convenience of booking and printing at home than having to line up in a queue and get it that way.

What the hell is a "Handling Charge" anyway?  It's a fee they charge to stay profitable and it's an amount they can charge for providing a service someone wants. Same with the Delivery fee really.  I suppose they have to pay for the hardware and software that provides it.  I hope they stay profitable, I like the convenience.

We all have a choice.  Always surprises me how people can get so worked up over such minor things.  Life is too short isn't it?

I have several billers that charge me for them sending me a bill.

The gas Co......Charge me 2.50 for them to send me the bill.

I refuse to pay by direct debit.

If they want to charge me for the gas I use, fair enough.....But I shouldn't be charged for them sending me the bill.

I like overpaying the bill by a small amount or even an estimate of the next bill, many organisations will send multiple letters saying do not overpay. Then I keep doing it, drives them nuts, in the old days I would get interest paid to me on my credit card at their going rate. (18% if I recall correctly) Best return ever from a bank. They have since fixed this, damn.

Handling charge was their booking fee in this instance. And yes... I love the convenience of printing at home too. Whilst I won't lose any sleep over it, I do think it is a giant rip to be charged $3.50 to send me tickets electronically ( note that they already send an invoice/confirmation by email free of charge).

anything that requires human labour/use of utilities/physical rented space/raw materials/hardware/equipment  obviously has a cost to produce. Just emailing us a ticket requires some of those things and it therefore has to be covered.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
