GAME DAY - Round 22

Mate he hasn't been at this club for 2 years

right you are Dazzle, he is now Port Adelaide's development manager

Good to see jones getting an applause from freo supporters.

was that Matt Jones turning it over again ????

Ordering pizza now to pick up because it gives me a reason to get away from watching this ineptitude.

Salem is a godsend.

Salem is a class above. I also like Stretch.

He will be good just needs more weight on him. For a skinny kid though he is pretty brave.

Salem is a godsend.

Best kick in our team. If he gets a clear run next year he could be anything.

Grimes looks OK - begs the question why he was sub and not Jones

watch his disposal ,shocking even at park footy level

Hey, I just got home, how's things going?

Oh.

Don't worry auto-mods, I'll just write [censored] myself.

I gather Freo chirped along happily to a ten goal to nothing lead then put the cue in the rack?

Still, we may yet break through a couple of the benchmarks for positivity!

1. Get a goal each quarter. Ok, nope.

2. Lose by less than ten goals. On target provided Freo keep napping for the last quarter.

3. Score seven goals. Nearly there!

4. Goal accuracy over 40%. On target!

Hey, that's a possible three out of four benchmarks!

Gotta be positive about that, yeah?

8 touches for Salem this quarter.

Why is Dunn now playing forward?

I swear Roos just moves players around to make it look like he's doing something.

Stretch swearing at the end of the quarter. Like it. Cares

I think Stretch has shown enough this year to suggest he'll be a good player for us. Hasn't had any huge games this year but has shown plenty of glimpses of what he can do once he puts some weight on and builds a tank.

Tom McDonald: lots to like, but he costs us goals with the constant turnovers. Seems unable to kick to a Melbourne player and have the ball arrive at the destination.

Seriously, Garlett needs to wear a tighter jumper. If he did he would have far more free kicks for being held on to.

If he didn't stick his arms out scarecrow style playing for the free rather than grabbing the ball which was right in front of him I might agree with you Clint. Play the ball, not pose for frees.

I've seen enough stupid for one day.

Outta here.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
