If we beat Freo I will ...

Featured Replies

If we win, we will remind Freo supporters about this for years, because one loss can mean so much for so long.

If we win, twats like Mark Fine will say:

In classical Drew Morphett mode - "Gee with, no wonder Melbourne supporters get frustrated......wooden spooners beat them one day, then they beat top of the ladder team the next."

Paul Garden-Knome will say:

"I told you we should have aimed higher"

Roosy will say:

"Unlike the supporters, we as a coaching group don't get too excited with these wins, nor do we get too depressed about the losses"

A lot of those depressed and irrational on Demonology (sic) will be ringing ticketek to book finals tickets

One win in Perth would convert Roos from pariah to messiah, as far as the simpletons are concerned.

Yeah, and then they'll all get on Demonland and reply to their own posts.

If we beat Freo I will be so negative about winning 2 in a row that I shall round up 9 Melbourne supporters to go to Etihad with me next week shirtless with the letters N E G A T I V I T Y painted on our chests in red and blue.

I'll be happy enough if Col Silvia has a quiet game and we crack in for a good hard contest.

PIES STAND TALL -

Week after conceding nine goal final quarter to the Tiges and bizarre comments from their skipper - the Pies put the Premier team of the last decade to the sword.

That's how a team fights back.

Nothing game with Geelong's September on the line.

Come on Melbourne.

I shall imagine it is Lent and abstain from giving myself a jolly good flogging for forty days and forty nights.

Can you give it to me instead.

..........I will know that we beat the tigers and bulldogs as well and we should be playing finals if not for the negativity of our supporters.......

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
