Mate Riley is finished. Will be rightfully delisted at the end of the year.

Settle down.

You posted your opinion. I happen to disagree.

Ok then I'd be happy to hear ' I happen to disagree'. The 'Of course' struck me as dismissive and a tad unfriendly. Over and out for me. Let normal programming resume.

Ah Dazzle man didn't take up my offer?? I would have shouted you a pint at "The Cricketers" But for another time! Eh?

Hnmm prepared to give him last two games like others who have been given opportunity??

Not my intention to be dismissive or unfriendly.

When you said, 'my opinion' I replied with of course, alluding to your comment.

Anyway, all good.

Living 3 hours is hard. I had planned to go to the GWS game as i am in Melbourne that weekend but they can get [censored].

If thats the case then might aswell give Terlich Mckenzie Bail to see if they are up to it. Riley is finished.

I was so proud of Michie today! Solid effort and really showed us what his got- his best game yet :)

He makes good decisions, is among the top in goal assists, and he has pace. He is definitely a ball-winner and I like how he plays.

Thanks Samael for the interesting stats and all the Michie-fans!! :)

See what impact starting on-field has? That hasn't happened often...and today I thought Michie was BOG :) He was rewarded for his hard efforts all the times he was named on the I/C bench, still solid efforts then too.

Keep up the good work Michie!!:roos: Roos: 'I thought Michie was good for us today, he showed a lot'

He's been better the last few weeks, cleaner with the ball, covering more ground. I still think he's only depth as he doesn't seem to have the speed or nous to do much forward and so far he hasn't held down a spot in the midfield. But hey he's far better depth than some. Once again he's another I'd love to see have a huge preseason and smash all his running times.

Agreed. Michie's on the fringe though.

Surely: Bail, Terlich, McKenzie, Jamar, Howe, Garland, Riley, M Jones, Toumpas. It'd be dependent on who we think would come in to replace them. I'd be tempted to keep Michie at this stage. Only for depth though.

Seriously, how the hell did we get to the stage of delisting a pick #4 from 3 years ago?

FMD this club is infuriating.

I'd be looking for a trade, but I'd easily part with a 2nd rounder at this point.

I can't see anything inside a top 15 pick for Toumpas at this rate.

No, although if could package him together with another pick or another player, we might make it work for ourselves.

I think people need to stop looking at supercoach and dreamteam scores and look at the actual impact a player has on the game. Michie is our best Goal assist player, largely because he's the only mid we have who has even the slightest notion of how to kick to a forward. He also rarely sells a teammate up the creek the way most of his teammates do. His fundamentals are far better than the rest of the team. His output has steadily increased as he gets more time in the senior side. There are about 18 players in line to be dropped before him at the moment.

You can stop defending your son, I'm fairly sure the pervading view is to keep him for now.

I hardly think 6 goal assists in 9 games with an average of .07 (equal 71st in the league) constitutes a goal assist expert.

Viv's OK, but nothing more than that.

Viv has played just 9 games for the season , with some of those as the sub with hardly any game time

Yet he ranks 7th at the club for total goal assists, and 2nd for goal assists per game!!

He is underrated

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
