hey moonie, i resemble that statement

Now don't get selfish DC, I think we all resemble that statement - childish, invertebrate, weirdos, perverts....

Haaaang on a minute.......doesn't Moonie frequent those parts when he's off the gimp chains?

I hope that is true. Tomlinson is going to be a very good player.

Then why do you want him to go to Carlton?

Looks like Carlton are going to haul in 4 or 5 GWS boys with just two picks

I have no idea if any of them are any good or not

I believe the bookies have the Northern Blues sitting as firm favourite for the VFL premiership at this early stage.

Dees cocked up with Toump - but 2012 is a horror draft for GWS.

- pick 1 Whitfield - looks good but no Wines, Macrae or Stringer.

- pick 2 O'Rourke - bust

- pick 3 Plowman - bust - now bundled up with 4 other (Summner former pick 10) to Blues for Pick in late 20's!

- pick 12 Jaksch - bust

And now SOS is trusted to rebuild Carlton's list!

Its great that they fluffed so many high picks considering how many they were given.

Not to mention a certain other #1 pick who signed a 6 year 6 millon dollar deal and has done sweet F.A for them

Its ok, he has the trusted brains of Barry Prendergast to bounce ideas off of.

Yep and his fat dad - earning his $100k p.a scouting o'rourke, plowman and jaksch.

If only we'd had time last year to offload Howe for pick 7 and $650k p.a into their cap.

Not really, SOS is just bringing the rejects he recruited down to the Blues to further continue their ineptness.

Memories of Craig Cameron drafting Maric, twice.

I think GWS want to get their deal done with Carlton. Could still be done late today if the blues deal gets done early

That deal is apparently agreed at a second round pick. Why would it have anything to do with Bugg to us?

On another note Plowman is a bigger bust than Toumpas, as he went 3 in the same draft and is now being bundled up with 3 other players for a single 2nd rounder.

It does make the Roos philosophy of trading picks for established players fully understandable, due to the uncertainty of the draft.

People have gushed over high draft picks, yet so many and especially in our case, have proved to be abject disasters.

We have decimated our list by poor draft selections and at least Roos will have turned over 75% of our list by this next ND. ATM our list is looking far better than it was 2 years ago.

You don't go anywhere without them though 'Red'.

I'm happy to have Salem, Brayshaw, Petracca and Hogan on board.

Established players such as Michie, Riley, Newton and Ben Kennedy? He's just pulling names out of a hat as far as I can tell.

If he keeps trying, perhaps eventually he'll find another Josh Kennedy, but I don't like his chances.

You don't go anywhere without good players. That doesn't necessarily mean early draft picks.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
