The only thing an opposition side needs to do is just want to win more than we do and they will. No matter where they are on the ladder or problems they are dealing with. All our wins this season have been against sides that have been distracted for one reason or other. We just haven't got the mental toughness to take on any team that plays to win.

I couldn't believe what I saw. Surely they have recovery tomorro and should be feeling ordinary after that loss. Is the party boy days back at the MFC. There will be those that say they are entitled to a life. Can't dwell on it. Etc etc. but it is NOT a good look having players posting happy snaps with beers in hand after a loss like that while supporters are seething and miserable. Stupid bloke even took the photo with the cricket on in the background, so if the club sees it he can't lie and say it was an oldie

Been like that for the 25 years I've been watching football. Even when we've been decent if we've come up against a team that is fully switced on we have NEVER won.

Beautifully played week by the Bombers. Perfect time to declare you are going the youth route. You get to play against pea hearts on the weekend, so bringing in youngsters who are desperate to make their name guarantees a win coming up against a group who don't understand what it means to compete. Now those youngsters will have gained some confidence which will provide a great boost for their club (although they may face an actual AFL level opposition next week which will probably bring them back down a peg).

We are clearly the 18th best team in the AFL, and I'm sure there are teams in state leagues who would have enough of a crack to knock us off if they were given a chance.

They are all out on the [censored] at CQ. Honestly, [censored] beating by a Vfl side and they are out greeting loose. They should be having a bloody meeting come Monday and Roos should be laying into them. I don't give a stuff who they think they are, they have collectively achieved [censored] all. No wonder we are inconsistent. Heads are not in the game, clearly.

IMO, hird is a deadman walking, & always was since before the 2015 season.

but since WADA entered the fray, deals with the AFLPA become much much more difficult, if not extinct.

& no amount of tanking for picks, will quicken the bummers rise again, from their own ashes.

Further to that, other clubs, like the GC are suspending players for boozing. So to say that all players go out on the turps is bs. Even if you do go out, don't go posting it all over social media. It's a kick in the guts to fans seeing the players with a big grin slamming pots after a pathetic loss

Not letting them go out after a game is like turning them into soulless robots for whom football isn't fun.

Which is what Neeld tried to do, and we hated him for it.

We should demand the highest standards from our players but they are young men who need to enjoy football. Forcing them to go whip themselves at night as a penance after every loss doesn't help and most likely wouldn't work anyway.

This needs to be shown to our players. The heart and effort the Crows put in (even though they came up short) really shows up our mob.

I'm all for team bonding and going out and enjoying themselves, but it's a shocking look seeing it plastered all over social media after such a heartbreaking loss.

This certainly isn't as bad as when I saw a certain key defender out having beers at 3am talking up 3 women after terrible loss last year.

No issues at all with them having a beer and even enjoying themselves away from the camera. But posting selfies to your Instagram account when you know you have thousands of fans as followers is a stupid move IMO. What's the point of it?

I don't know if this was a factor in the loss, but can the club petition really hard to get the bye week to follow our Darwin game rather than the other way around every bloody year? As I said I don't know if it was a factor but I don't remember us ever winning a game after a trip up there.
