The Jack Viney Made Me Cry Thread

Don't underestimate the degree of difficulty with that tackle. I've never seen a tackle as good as that on a "Don't Argue". I'd honestly rate it as one of the best, and comparable to Nathan Carroll's tackle on Gehrig back in 2006.

It's just a shame it still ended up in a Saints goal not long after it.

Do you seriously have a quote of yourself as your sig? Hahahahahaha

Well you see Stu, unlike yourself, some posters make comments that are worthy or memorable or just make good sense. Think that through carefully.

Back in the days when anything seemed possible, Luke 'Bull' Tapscott gave Rhys Shaw one mighty shoulder in the chest (and I believe) broke some of his ribs.

Luckily Viney delivers this kind of behaviour on a consistent basis.

I find him very vanilla, our little stu. Has the personality and the humour of a dried up piece of wholemeal toast

Hey! I like wholemeal toast. Better than the suburban white bread you find in the bakeries of small towns such as Romsey. Much like their inhabitants.

Sorry to tell you, but he told me they were plucked from his great aunt in a nursing home in Burwood, I believe. Do you know her?

I like this thread. I like the fact that I'm confident it will be bumped (like Viney's hapless opponents) many times over the next 8 - 10 years.

Love how brutal our midfield is becoming. We seriously have some of the best tacklers in the league in Viney, Riley and Brayshaw.

Whoever has coached this new hard mindset into the players this year, most evident in the player that Bernie's become, thank you.

And this is what will reoccur over that time Goodvibes:

The problem with Riley is he far to often goes for these charging rugby style tackles, yes they're going to hurt the opposition, but they don't prevent the player from getting rid of the footy as they're arms are not pinned.

His hardness is natural..that loss didnt hurt as much because guys like Viney,Hogan and Toumpas had such great games.

Absolutely right. At full pace too. A "don't argue" stops the tackler grabbing your body, but if they have the presence of mind to grab your arm, you're totally stuffed.

Love the way Weller realised he was in deep trouble the moment Viney grabbed his arm and used it to pull him in closer. Then he really found out how much trouble he was in.

And I can't wait for Dustin Martin to try the "don't argue" again on Viney.

You can add Joel Selwood to the ever growing list.

1000x like

What about his post match interview when asked about when it started to get nasty with Selwood -"I love that [censored]". Put that on a t-shirt.

I love Jack VIney

Thats why Cross has been so important.

He has been the leader for viney and the 2 years we get out of Cross will help fast track viney.

Yesterday Crossy led all across the ground and made sure the younger player's got to opponents at every stoppage.

I have such a massive smile on my face right now.

This is now my all-time favourite picture. It's perfect.
