Can we play Essendon next week please?

Got a sneaking suspicion we will remain their bogey team this year.

FMD! I had a ton Freo last night. Full time half time double @ $1.42.

It seemed a good bet at the time! FMD.

maybe they had better odds to go down?

Bombers running out of juice !!

That will be Neeld and Craig.

Congrats to Hird for coaching a team to a goal less half , first time its been done since 1984

Super coach

James Hird, Neil Craig, Mark Harvey and Mark "It is what it is" Neeld.

The coaching dream team.

It took a while but finally the Bombers are coming down off the drugs.

coming down can be a rough landing

This is great. Fans are turjing on the golden boy. Just goes to show the best players don't make the best coaches and maybe you do need to do some assistant coaching before you get the top job.

I never thought geelong would be up by this much.

Bombers running out of juice !!

or maybe they got a bad batch of it from a new source.

And Boyd gets the red vest again... I guess he will come good eventually.

In the other game - Tom Boyd subbed off with another four possessions. Star

Played 18 games, but if he played for us we'd be full of excuses.

Oh please essendon lose by 100. Geelong are doing this without mitch as well. Steve J 4 goals.

I guess 187 would be too much to expect

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
