GAME DAY at Alice Springs - Round 9

Featured Replies

When we are ahead, we are okay. Sometimes good. Never great.

When we are behind, we are shocking abysmal. No existent. Not there.

This is AFL, MELBOURNE. A.F.L.

we have no idea how to stop a serious run-on.

Are we even going to try and fire a shot?

Thank christ the siren went, hopefully that stops their momentum.

Unbelievable. Do something Demons....This is just terrible. We can do it.

6 goals since there was 7:30 left.

40 point turnaround in 8 minutes.

8. [censored]. Minutes.

Re-group and smash them in the 3rd....C'mon.

Wouldn't mind swapping Rance for Dunn at the end of the year...

Playing a completely out of form team into form....yet again

thankgod the half time break came. Hopefully Roos can re settle them and have words with them.

come on melbourne don't just stop

Absolutely disgusting, pathetic quarter. Just totally wilted. I hope Roosy smashes them in the rooms - definitely deserve it.

All our players got sucked to defensive side during centre bounces, meaning their sweeper just ate us up. Very poor structurally, brought on by a change in mindset.

We [censored] our pants, basically.

I feel a Roos spray coming on in 3, 2,......1.

That momentum shifted drastically when Dunn inexplicably torped it down the middle. No need to do it. He's played one good season in his career. That's all I'll say.

McDonald, Garland and Fitzy have all had shockers so far. Brayshaw outstanding and Vanders once again good.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
