  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Good points.

There's the difference between most EFC supporters and Demonland posters. They are never furious, quite the contrary whilst we love to bag the club for every little mistake. (Yes I know OD, we have had lots of mistakes.)

Cough cough!

You do of course when considering Little /Efc action along the way to ponder what was their real motive.

I put all this faux indignation down to a smokescreen. From here in the cheap seats it always appeared to me that all the huff and puff was a ruse with the real goal being time. The longer it went on then possibly the lesser the real impact player bans would have to the current best 22. I really dont think the Hirds of this world give 2 shlts about anything beyond themselves.

What we are now seeing is when such plans and disregard for welfare of those given to their care come unravelled.

not sure why you're surprised, it's no different to anything I've posted here or elsewhere. I'm not an idiot, I understand the implications of some of the evidence that's come out, and nor am I so one eyed I would blindly support.

If you keep digging back beyond February you'll also find posts where I argue that we should ditch James Hird and go with Thompson. There's all sorts of nuanced viewpoints for you in my work.

Also, Bruce Francis is a [censored] idiot an a complete embarrassment. That tweet, wtf? He is completely bonkers.

Lance you are rational, sensible, balanced and able to articulate your view without rancour. One question, however, are you really an Essendon supporter?

If so, we would welcome you aboard the good ship, Melbourne at any time. Can I host you to a game? As long as you like a good single malt

I may be cynical but I see Hirds motivation, as it has always been, and he has Little in his corner as Little may be in the [censored] as well, as being about legally protecting himself. If the players are banned, if they were injected with banned or unknown substances, then all board members and people in positions of responsibility (the coach) may well face many years of civil, if not criminal, proceedings. For this reason Hird and the club as a whole have not acted in the interests of the players, they are acting to protect themselves, and to do so they need to get the players off the charges.

If they were acting in the players interests then they would be chasing Dank for the records as that is the only way to answer what they were given. The fact they have not done this speaks volumes!

agree its a smokescreen and an attempt to string things out remember that at all times, hird and little have been following the legal and tactical advice of their own lawyers. they can be very persuasive in getting clients away from what is the most responsible and best thing to do for all. quite rightly, the legal eagles are trying to win for their clients. also I suspect that these two guys have messianic qualities that translates into a belief that they cannot do any wrong. In other words, they are so sure that they are right they cannot entertain the idea that the opposite is true. they are so used to winning and place so much importance in winning that they are consumed by it, and ethical considerations take a back seat. a guy called lance was the classic example.

Ernest..I m not sure it was the lawyers leading these clowns away from responsibility. I sense they ( beagles) were asked how can we string this out...and advised accordingly. Why would they argue...kaching kaching !!

this could be big. a wise elder, a minister of the cloth and a long dead novelist.

You would have to take Beelzebub just for the interest the juxtaposition with the man of cloth would provide.

Yes like a post above I have always thought this would end up at WADA

From the moment i saw the first Press Conference in Feb '13

We signed up to the WADA Code.

So i have always been amused that Windy Pill always tried to hide from WADA...(divert attention)

WADA were always going to have their say

The merely announced it with an hour to go!!

Hi Ernie.

I'm not really a Dees supporter.

Im willing however, to attend a game with you.

(and not that is at all the clincher, but what sort of single malt would you be referring to, and does it end at only one bottle?)

I even love a bad one. You havent tried the $3.50 blended stuff on the shelves near my place in the Philippines.

A krap single malt would taste like Royal Salute over here.

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
