has the club ditched this stupid fad diet yet?

Bloody ridiculous it was ever implemented,

Did you bother to read that they aren't doing a true paleo or that it's being tailored to the individual's need? Or is it just easier for you to make brash statements in the shock jock style of Alan Jones?

Posted

What are you on about? Chris Dawes lost 8 kilos from it and now in career best form!

People point to T Mac to say the paleo works, what abut the 10 other senior players that are out of form?

T Macs improved form is just natural progression and hard work

No room for Hollywood fad diets in sport, whether slightly modified or not

Well put Alan Jones. Are you a dietician or sports scientist by chance? Thought not......

how do you reckon they'd go at 120 minutes of afl footy?

different requirements

They go alright running repeat twenty yard sprints in 40 degree heat for days on end.

The blame the diet outrage in this thread is baseless. The comment was that 'fad diets' have no place in professional, elite sport. There are however many examples where special 'fad' diets have very positive effects on elite sports men and women.

Gazza jnr seem to do pretty well on the paleo diet!

see my prev post

Then why are you questioning a cricketers ability to run for 120 minutes based on what they eat? Seem you are saying that the paleo diet doesn't allow for that to occur, Gaz is a pretty good example of the fact it isn't the diet that is the problem.

no, no. just pointing out that different sports have different physical requisites and probably different concurrent nutritional requirements

additionally the cricket example is more anecdotal and opinionated than scientifically assessed

He could do pretty well eating nothing at all

I was advised to remove myself from the diet.

It gave me a tendency to try and drag girls back to my room by the hair.

So i've gone back to using a club.

Rohypies getting too expensive Biff?

Exactly, and they would refuse to read Moonshadows posts so i was running out of coma inducing options.

Yes. Whenever I am really desperate for a kip I skim through Moonie's posts. Nod off immediately.

Yes ,the inner city Greens go on a bit.

It's like a cup of Horlicks for the brain.

Would it have something to do with the two flagons of cheap red you have guzzled?

Couldn't possibly be any worse than those tree-changer, rampant breeding, grow-your-owners that one hears about in the local police reports. I pity their neighbours. Can never get sleep within 500m of the stench.

I'm surprised you read up on things outside of cafe society.

Clearly these rural types dont belong near the cattle yards and meatworks of yuppie Melbourne anymore.

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
